As I am a huge fan of Dalyesford, I was very excited to hear about their newly renovated hotel which came highly recommended by a friend already living in the same area. The building looks lovely and is set in a beautiful location. However I think there are many teething problems which really need to be addressed. Unfortunately my mother...

I dined here a Sunday in July for lunch with my family. It was extremely traditional and suited to the old clientel, myself and my girlfriend ordered the beef which was extremely well cooked, the homemade yorkshire pudding were also good. The parents (old ones) went for the Turkey which they also enjoyed. The veg was well cooked and it...

We stayed here for a couple of nights in October. We had a lovely suite on the top floor in the front of the building. Understand this establishment has recently been refurbished and opened only a few weeks before we stayed. We had dinner at the pub up the road as the restaurant at the Wild Rabbit wasn't open on...

The Tollgate Inn was a little more tired than I expected but the rooms were clean and comfortable. The room above the pub, where my sister stayed, was quite noisy, which marred an otherwise good stay. We had lunch in the pub which was very good. Speaking to the staff it appears that The Tollgate will undergo a major refurb...

Welcoming and caring place to stay with genuine helpful staff. Clean and comfy room, very comfortable bed and cotton bed linen. I was in the Hayloft, recently converted and nicely decorated. That room is up some old stone stairs so if mobility is a problem ask for a downstairs room. Breakfast was delicous and well presented, wide choice on the...

Really nice place in the centre of Kingham, very helpful staff and great rooms. Stayed here on the weekend of the Big Feastival and had a great time. Rooms were big enough with some character and the beer garden at the front of the pub was a great way to chill for a couple of hours. The bed was a...

I shared the "Hayloft" family room with my adult sons. It was spacious, clean and tidy, good facilities and wonderful value for money. We enjoyed three nights and lovely breakfast each morning. The food was very good in the restaurant and gentle, pleasant atmosphere and decor. The staff were extremely friendly and the location was beautiful. Would recommend the Tollgate...

Feels like we were in a different place to other reviewers. We visited only for an evening meal, but the bar was occupied by people watching the footie so we could only eat in the restaurant. It was very quiet with no atmosphere at all. Service was pleasant and food was ok - unremarkable and would not consider returning on...

We gathered here for a lively family 70th birthday weekend, (7 adults and 2 dogs). The owners gave us a warm welcome and then gave us space to calm down excitable dogs, (not to mention family members, who hadn't all been together for quite a while!!), settle in and enjoy the pub and its facilities. Nice if small bar area...

We went back this year for the weekend and were not disappointed. Lovely food, fantastic breakfasts, great room and everyone was very tolerant of our cheeky lab-Molly. Looking forward to our next visit.
