Very welcoming and friendly staff in this unusual hotel. Built in the early 1800's with loads of charm, a splendid staircase with all mod cons added for comfort. They are in the midst of ongoing renovation so whilst the room was lovely with a fantastic view out of the window, the shower room was in need of tlc. It will...

Good afternoon Valerie, Firstly thank you very much for your review. Your feedback enables us to fully understand what type of experience our guests are having, and is there anything that maybe we need to implement to improve that quality of service that we provide. Thank you for your comments with regards to the staff, I was immensely pleased to...

We booked two twin rooms at the Manor hotel and was impressed with the outlook of the impressive building. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and showed us to our rooms. The rooms were a good size and clean and basic but we'll presented. In one room the bathroom was a bit worse for wear but was functional. Sadly...

Dear Stephanie. Thank you for your mixed review. I will pass on your compliments to the reception team, who I know will be very pleased with your feedback with regards to their service. Unfortunately it is a public park, and therefore we can not be responsible for the actions of others who have little respect for hotel users. I will...

We stayed one night at the Mansfield Manor and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were expecting a Faulty Towers experience as the price was so reasonable. Not so. Fantastic staff who were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in Room 9 overlooking the park and it was perfect. Very clean with tea/coffee facilities with come very nice...

Dear Guest. Thank you for your review. I am pleased that you would not compare us to the sitcom of Fault Towers as we all try so hard to please our guests and to know that we have exceeded your expectations is worth while to us all. we are an 1804 manorial house, with historical ties to the Cavendish family,...

The hotel is located within a small well kept family park. Having arrived I was met with the most pleasant polite staff imaginable. Nothing was too much problem looking after a few of us guys whilst also trying to set up for a large wedding. The room (5) was spacious and very clean. The night staff manager was also very...

Dear Mr Webster and Party Thank you very much for your awesome review, The Manor dates back to 1804 and does have a rather prominent history, of which during your next stay I will run through it with you, it's quite fascinating really. It was our absolute pleasure to be of service to yourselves. We hope that you all returned...

Look the roof didn't leak, the staff are friendly and helpful, the internet works and breakfast was fine but that's all I can say that's positive. Oh and it's at the cheaper end of the range so you can't expect too much. It's the facility itself that let's it down. OK, we were only there one night but we stayed...

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review; I am unable to find your booking from your tripadvisor user name and there is unfortunately nothing reported in the Maintenance Book to identify which room you stayed in. I have stayed here before whilst visiting friends in Mansfield. I could have kipped on their sofa, but decided to stay at this beautiful hotel again after having a wonderful time last time I was there. It is fabulously located and the park is a real bonus. I don't get to travel much and always worry about staying in soulless...

So many positives, beautiful old hotel in lovely grounds, the staff so naturally welcoming and friendly, 10/10 for the young lady who checked us in and out and the young lad who was on duty both nights who served us at breakfast, they are a credit to the hotel. We were given room 10, a beautiful room with a large...

As a previous guest stated, the structure and decor requires work but the basics are there. The location is superb. Set within a splendid park and within easy walking distance of the town centre it is an imposing building. Plenty of parking. The rooms are a good size and ours had a huge and comfortable bed. TV and tea/coffee/biscuits included....

Thank you for your review; it is always good to receive guests' feedback. I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay and that you appreciate that a building of this age is bound to have the odd blemish here and there. During the quieter winter months, we look at all of our rooms and undertake maintenance where necessary. We...

I stayed one night in this hotel in November. I found it overpriced and not particularly good. It compares very unfavourably with Travel Lodge Hotels. The building was an original Victorian Manor House with a beautiful central staircase and a view out over the local public park with double-fronted bay windows. The rooms were very tired-looking and desperately need re-decorating....
