We returned again to East Horton and were yet again delighted with everything. Firstly it is a lovely large farmhouse in immaculate condition. The elevated position gives it a super view over stunning countryside. The rooms are spacious, light and airy and are immaculately furnished and finally Sheila the owner is serene and charming. This time we went into the...

My well-travelled husband, who has stayed in top-quality accommodation across the world, rates this in the top ten, and one of his favourites for sheer elegance. This was more like staying with friends in the country. The room was superbly appointed; the attention to detail in both decor and furnishings was immaculate, and everything was practical as well as goodlooking...

This is a lovely small farmhouse in the middle of the beautiful Northumberland countryside. Tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean with a welcome host. Delicious breakfast in the morning. The only problem (and that is a small one) is know that you will be in the middle of nowhere...down small country lanes. That makes it nice and quiet with the sounds of...

We stayed here for two nights and loved it. We decided on East Horton as it looked lovely on the pictures online and we could get to Bamburgh/ Seahouses and Lindisfarne easily. We weren't disappointed it was beautiful and elegant set in quiet surroundings and exceeded expectations. My partner was ecstatic at the style and decor. Rooms were immaculate and...

Great welcome on arrival by Sheila. Help offered with our bags. Shown to our spacious and very nicely decorated and furnished en-suite room (shower, no bath). Offered a cuppa on arrival which was served in the lounge downstairs. Home made cakes plus some biscuits! Great powerful shower that warmed up very quickly. Very quiet and comfortable night. Loved the original...

We have reviewed East Horton a few years ago but have been back regularly in the interim. What is so lovely about this place, apart from the quality and the wonderful breakfast and the elegant Georgian farmhouse, is the owners Peter and Sheila. They look after us so well; they are an elegant couple with very high standards. Sheila is...

A party in Wooler was an excuse to stay again at East Horton. We have been to lots of farmhouse B & B's all over the country in the last year or two and I have not bothered reviewing them because they were just OK. East Horton is special. It is a beautiful house with stunning views, it is comfortable...

Chose the farmhouse for a relaxing break and I couldn't have chosen better. Peter and Sheila are brilliant host/hostess whose family greeted me warmly offering tea and biscuits in the elegant sitting room. Beautiful room with gorgeous views over the countryside, all situated in a quiet hamlet. Every need was catered for and I would highly recommend this bed and...

Peter Dodds warmly welcomed us and showed us to a huge spotless bedroom with extensive views over the surrounding stunning countryside before offering us afternoon tea and biscuits in the elegant drawing room where we later met his wife Sheila. Peter enquired whether we had arranged to dine that evening and went to great lengths to make a reservation for...

We stayed here after the Lindisfarne festival. Beautiful surroundings, comfortable, clean, accomodating with a friendly welcome. They looked after us well - fine with us coming in late and also made me a lovely veggie cooked breakfast. Thoroughly recommend a stay here.
