Stayed here for 3 nights over Easter. Rooms are very clean, tidy and there plenty of space for your clothes etc. There is a hairdryer, shower, complimentary shower gels etc and the view from our window was the lovely countryside of Northumberland . The B and B is situated about a mile from the lively village of wooler.. several nice...

Stayed overnight on my way North to Scotland and was delighted to have found this lovely B&B. The room was comfortable, the breakfast perfect and the hosts friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend.

I recently stayed at the Hemmel whilst visiting the area with my father. Jack and Sue were outstanding hosts, very welcoming and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were comfortable, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The Hemmel is ideally situated to explore Northumberland. Highly recommended.

This was our first trip into Northumberland and Sue and Jack made our visit with their hospitality. Set in a huge valley just on the outskirts of Wooler peace and quiet awaits with spotless accommodation, our on-suite was equipped with a huge shower and a tub for two with hot water a plenty. A perfect position to explore with Jack's...

Was most impressed by this very welcoming, cosy B&B. Jack came out to welcome me and took my suitcase to my room. Very nice cosy room with good facilities. Great shower room with a powerful shower. I had so much breakfast, I couldn't finish it all, so don't understand anyone saying the breakfast was skimpy. If you want a lovely...

I stayed here 5 years ago but was returning for a repeat holiday in Northumberland, as it's a good base for exploring the county, with hills on one side and sea on the other, and you can even head up into Scotland. The building is surrounded by huge open skies and farmland, with horses and distant hillsides. Good for stargazing!...

We really enjoyed our brief stay. The room was spotlessly clean with a huge ensuite bathroom. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming, offering advice as to where to eat dinner etc. Good choice for breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights in February. We had to rearrange our trip a few days before we were due to stay but fortunately were able to bring our booking forward and go the very next day. Jack and Sue were amazingly welcoming and made us feel very at home. The room was comfy and the...

My friends and I stopped here for one night while walking the St. Cuthbert's way. So far it has been our favorite B&B of the trip. The rooms were beautiful and accommodating. Jack and Sue were friendly and gave us great advice for our walk and also drove us to dinner. I would make it a point to stay here...
