We were staying in Seahouses and ate here the first evening. Lovely that’s it’s dog friendly. Two of us had the mussels And one had the pie and mash. The food was ok. Service was good.Except for the long queue at the bar where you have to ore order food and drinks. Impressed that it is dog friendly. Pleasant evening.

We often visit here on regular trips to the area. I have posted before about the lovely ham. So, as usual , the ham salad. The salad part was good. As usual, plenty of the ham. However it was dry and difficult to cut. Husband’s lamb cutlets looked attractive but were not nice. Disappointing. If it had been my first visit it would also be my last. Place itself is still attractive, especially in winter weather.

Lovely location overlooking the harbour ruined by poor service and housekeeping. The tables weren’t clean and you stuck to them. We were going to have a meal but after seeing the tables and customers sending food back we gave it a miss. Oh and don’t buy the crisps unless you want to be fleeced of £1.95 !!!!!!!!!Go to the ship inn and pay reasonable prices.

Recently returned from a four night break. The hotel is in a great location and our room was quiet, spacious, and had great views of the harbour from the balcony. The parking is limited, but there is a large public car park right opposite the hotel. All the staff were fantastic...very friendly and helpful. Breakfast each morning was delicious with a good choice and the hot breakfast was perfectly cooked with good quality produce used. The evening meals we had on the first night were perfectly ok, but do agree with previous comments that they are a bit overpriced compared to food available elsewhere in the town. Overall we had an excellent stay, would definitely recommend, and look forward to returning again.

When we arrived at the bamburgh castle inn, we were told there was no drinks on draft, we then ordered our food and the beef was tough and tasted like rubber, aswell as being covered in fat, the chips were scabby and the fish was soggy. Desserts were very cold and tasteless. The prices are extortionate for low quality food, very disappointing after hearing so many good things!
