Wanted to visit Bamburgh and Alnwick Castles and to stay on quiet farm away from the hustle of tourists. Jane & Joe were fabulous hosts!!! Sunrises were magnificent! If you want to be unplugged and in the country with magical views, this is the spot!

From the moment we made the booking to the moment we left at the end of our stay, we were made to feel incredibly welcome by Jane. She was really accommodating and friendly, and a fantastic breakfast cook too! The Rievers Room was cosy, clean, and had a lovely en-suite shower. The dining/breakfast room was fantastic, looking out onto the...

If you are looking for a country house with amazing views and a friendly host then this is the place for you. We cant fault our stay and will be going back. Last minute booking the day before. Arrived early just to let them know we were coming and no one around at all. Wandered around the house shouting with no luck! Came back later and were checked in quickly and shown to our room. We booked the Rede room which was a family room with a double bed and 2 singles....

Owner was friendly, building traditional, with a nice quiet location. Breakfast alternatives of cheese, salmon, ham useful if you don't want a fry up. Be prepared to drive for your evening meal as not serving at present. Good value though.

We found Dunns house to be absolutely charming, very quiet, very clean and had amazing views from our bedroom and guest lounge. Jane was very accommodating towards us, especially as we were not arriving until midnight. We stayed...

I've just stayed here for 4 nights, and it was ideal. Very easy to find as it's just off the main road, but you're not disturbed by traffic noise at all. The house is very large inside and has an old fashioned homely touch. I stayed by myself in the Rede room as it had a DVD player, and I...

Absolutely brilliant place to stay - lovely old house with a certain grandeur, away from the road, quiet and peaceful, with stunning views (especially from the Percy room!). Friendly host, plentiful breakfast choices, can't find anything detrimental to say about anything!. Would highly recommend.
