We had a one night stay here for a group of 10 cyclists en route between London and Edinburgh. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast substantial and the welcome welcoming. Elaine was a friendly host and there was good safe bicycle storage for our bikes both in the house and in the garden out the back. I would stay here...

We stayed for one night in a river side room which was very nice. Unfortunately Elaine wasn't there when we stayed, but the room and breakfast were very good. The only issue is the 'on- street' parking and carrying bags etc. We managed to park nearby OK at 4pm but we went out and at 11pm all the spaces were...

We recently stayed at Riverside Guest House for 2 nights whilst visiting family in Newcastle which is conveniently located for the town centre. Elaine greeted us with a warm welcome and showed us to a lovely bright room with a view of the river at the back of the house. A breakfast with plenty of choice, fruit, yoghurt, cereal and...

The pictures which are shown for this guest house are a true representation of what to expect, a mix of lofty Victoriana with loads of shabby chic but not so OTT and we loved it. Stayed with my daughter in one of the twin rooms. Not much of a view as it overlooked the street but we weren't there for...

I stayed in April for a night and couldn't have been made more welcome. Room was clean and well kept, all facilities spotless, the welcome was really friendly and the breakfast was great. Will be going back in May when hope to make use of the river views and seating at the back. Parking was also not a problem and...

We stayed for two nights at the Riverside Guest House, in order to attend a family wedding. It's a warm, interesting Victorian terraced house, full of quirky and interesting objects, but obviously a family home. Elaine, the proprietor, could not have been more helpful, making sure we were comfortable and well looked after. The room was spotlessly clean with a...

We spent an evening in Riverside Guest House in Morpeth between two ace days exploring Lindisfarne, Bamburgh, Seahouses, Cragside, Rothbury and the Simonside Hills; all wonderful sights nearby. We enjoyed a really warm welcome, and were delighted with the room: it had views of the river below, was ensuite, and was really beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfy, the...
