We chose the Manor House as there are few places to stay on the island which serve evening meals and it received many excellent reviews. There is much to commend this hotel. The view of the castle from our room was amazing and at dinner our table looked onto the Priory. Staff were friendly and obliging. There is ample parking...

This hotel is in a beautiful location and the bar downstairs seemed very pleasant, although the noise of the television was annoying. Unfortunately, our room (number 2) at the rear of the hotel suffered from the noise and, even worse, the small, from a kitchen extractor fan which ran till 9.00 on the evening we were there. Internet access in...

Did not stay at The Manor House (fully booked when tried) but we did stay at a close by B&B and ate for 2 evenings in the restaurant. Excellent food and very friendly staff. What more can you say ... ? We would stay at The Manor Hotel if we return to Holy Island. Many thanks to the staff.

Superb hotel, with great views and food. Beer is excellent and you can pay on switch, unlike their neighbour. The breakfast is very good, but has been trumped by a few in Yorkshire. The beds are very comfortable and had a good rest after a very long day driving. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and very pleasant. The...

Travelled to Holy Island for a few days away and I am so pleased we chose this hotel. We only booked last minute - driving up in fact! On arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our room. Although we had no view our room was exceptionally clean with am abundance of tea and coffee, complimentary...

We had our wedding at Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island last December and some of our guests stayed at the Manor House Hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming. We had our wedding day lunch in the dining room and the food was fabulous. The views over the bay, the castle and the priory are stunning....

We found the Man House on the second lap...the or had fallen off. That did not diminish the quality of service. The staff at the bar fell over themselves to be helpful and the House Manager ensured that our room was available as soon as possible. When the staff carry your bags up the stairs you know you are on...

Margaret and I decided to walk to Holy Island over the Pilgrims Causeway on the 28th February as an adventure for Margaret's birthday the following day. We planned to stay at The Manor House, with friends who had thankfully taken our bags by car, so we could do the walk. Arriving on foot over several miles of sand and after...
