Had a decent stay here over Easter weekend. The Inn itself is well located a short walk from the lovely seaside village of Craster and in lovely grounds. The rooms are a little tired as previous reviewers have mentioned but are good sizes and the beds are comfortable with soft linens. Couple of recommendations - the water pressure in the...

Went to this pub/restaurant on a recommendation and wasn't dissappointed. Arrived and got a drink from the bar, shown to our table which was in a conservatory area which is dog friendly. Had starters, prawn cocktails followed by a steak dish and scampi, very large portions and at a great price. Staff very welcoming, even brought our dog a sausage....

This is the third time we have stayed at this friendly and accommodating small hotel and the atmosphere is still very warm and welcoming. The building is approached along a wooded drive and has a large outside area with ample outside tables to enjoy a decent drink when the sun shines. The eating areas are split between dog friendly and...

Visited here whilst staying at Craster Tower for the weekend. The interior is a bit of a mishmash but the food is great. There were 7 people in our party and each and everyone of us enjoyed our meals. The puddings in particular went down a treat with sticky toffee pudding, lemon posset and strawberry and rhubarb cheesecake being our...

We've been twice now and always found the food good, the service from most of the staff is very good, found one to be a bit cool. Awesome beer garden, covered outside area and dog friendly in the bar/conservatory. Decent deals on accommodation/meals over winter months. On Sunday afternoon, drunk people at the bar. Not ideal but happy to live...

Unfortunately the p**s head is still serving behind the bar the later you go the worse he is. Such...

Friendly staff, good food, great location near the wonderful Northumberland coast. Some of the best bits are nearby. Low Newton being an absolute gem with a great pub and the fabulous Dunstanburgh Castle but a walk away.

The notice board on the entrance clearly says the Cottage Inn serves food all day, unfortunately this is not entirely true, when we visited in March they had stopped serving at 2:30. The staff were helpful and suggested where else we could find food being served locally at 2:45pm. Decided to stop for a beer from the Hadrians Wall Brewery,...

My partner and I have just arrived back from a two day break at The Cottage Inn and I do not understand the bad reviews it has received on TripAdvisor. Staff were welcoming, food good, value for money, rooms and beds were comfy. We stayed in room 1 & if I had to bring up minor faults and I must...
