We first stayed at Tillmouth Park 50 years ago for our honeymoon and although we have visited again a few times during the years we decided that we should return for our 50th wedding anniversary. After a warm welcome from reception we were shown to our room and to our surprise it was Sir Walter Scott's room, the one we...

A great place to stay when enjoying a few shooting or fishing days in the South of Edinburgh. Tillmouth Park allows you to stay comfortably in what was before a typical luxurious private manor now converted into a cosy hotel. Staff is of great care and the food is excellent. The gun room tells all about the house!

We had numerous short breaks throughout the year at various prestigious hotels in Northumberland but kept returning to Tillmouth Park as our favourite and so on the 7th November we hired the Hotel for our wedding. It was perfect. Our guests stayed overnight and enjoyed the comforts of the Hotel and attentiveness of the staff who made it such a...

Had a very pleasant stay at Tillmouth which is a very old country house steeped in history. It is handy for visiting many places such as Alnwick, Berwick upon Tweed and Cragside. The villages of Ford and Etal are very pretty and are close by. Breakfast was very tasty and the evening meal we had was very good. The lovely...

We booked a standard room only to find we had been upgraded on arrival. This was a good surprise. Large room overlooking the front of property. There is some need of decoration & upgrading but would need to be done sympathetically so as not to spoil the hotels character. Food in the restaurant was of a fair standard and service...

Finally found an excellent restaurant in the area. Highly recommended. The menu was superb and the food was beautifully prepared and served. The staff were very professional, friendly and attentive. Diners do not have to stay at the hotel to use the restaurant, but would recommend booking in advance. Lovely country house surroundings and decor.

This was our first visit to Northumberland & the Scottish Borders and we weren't disappointed. The Tillmouth Park Country House Hotel is set in its own lovely grounds so is ideal if you desire privacy. The staff (especially in the restaurant) are very professional & friendly and made us feel at ease but also made us feel pampered. We stayed...
