Lovely old hotel with a cosy bar and welcoming restaurant. Recommended to us by a friend who's from the town. The service was prompt and curteous. The food was well cooked, presented artfully but still a good portion, beware the haddock and chips, I swear it's a giant haddock, not a standard one! Beautiful, flaky fish and no grease.

Stayed one night enroute north. Lovely little hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only slight issue was a shower that was far too hot and refused to change despite 10 mins effort. But everything else was great including delicious dinner and breakfast. Well worth the visit- but they need to sort that shower 😊

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Decor and cleanliness second to none, stayed in room 6 and could have got at least 6 people in shower. Eat in hotel on the second night was superb. Breakfast was delightful and very filling, help yourself to yoghurt, cereal and fruit, then a cooked breakfast. Would definitely return

The Queens Head is only a small hotel, but it is probably the best option for Berwick. It is situated in the heart of Berwick and is really convenient for exploring this charming town as well as access to transport, restaurants and shops. Unusually for many UK towns there is free overnight parking in the public car park at through... More

We were on a 3 day trip from Edinburgh to London via train. We chose Queens Head Hotel and Restaurant for our first stop. It is a very charming Inn and restaurant. Only 2 minutes by cab from the rail station. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. We ate lunch there on the day of our arrival, and really... More

A warm and friendly place to stay. We stayed for 3 nights its location meant we were able to visit the town follow the Lowry trail and venture into Scotland. Nice dining, breakfast and evening. Our room was well equipped and appeared newly decorated. All very comfortable

What a wonderful little hotel this is. A brilliant surprise that actually lives up to its previous reviews. An older property that has been well maintained and makes the most of the restrictions of a listed property. The rooms are clean and well stocked with surprise and delight (quality biscuits for the tea and coffee and a nice line in... More

Another enjoyable stay at this hotel. We stayed in Room 4 this time, the only room at the back of hotel, no view but extremely quiet. Rooms are spotless, the beds are so comfy and the little extra touches (like Haribo sweets) are a delight. Meals here are excellent, the dining room is always busy so best to book. Local... More
