Been here a few times before and no doubt I will be here a few times again. Wonderful little hotel with a great bar and restaurant. Lovely clean comfortable rooms, tea and coffee making facilities and freeview television. Lady who welcomed me when I checked in was incredibly friendly. Also, hotel is within about two minutes of the train and...

The room had no windows which made it feel a bit like a prison cell, The reception in the advertised free wifi was so terrible everywhere there was in effect no wifi at all. The kettle didn't work. The bedside light didn't work. Breakfast wasn't very nice. A depressing experience. I was very glad only to be here for the...

Stayed one night with friends last weekend. I was a little concerned prior to visiting after seeing some photos on TripAdvisor of the untidy/dirty rooms but was pleasantly surprised to see that this wasn't the case at all. Our room (7) was clean, tidy and the ensuite of a good standard. We didn't eat in the restaurant other than breakfast...

Not a huge menu but they really concentrate on what is there and it shows. We did wait a little bit for food but could see it was really busy and the staff did apologise...

Originally i had booked on booking dot com for the Friday night but upped the booking to Friday and Saturday. I had emailed the hotel directly when i changed the booking but booking dot com cancelled...

We had a special birthday meal with family, the meals were superb, considering there were over 20 of us all starters and main courses came out at the same time and were piping hot, the only criticism i could have were the portions were far too big. The staff were superb especially Kerry who even entertained the kids to give...

First time at the Castle Hotel for a meal and have come away raving about it!! From the time we entered the hotel to the time we left, superb waitress service and in between a lovely meal for very reasonable cost. Nicely furnished bar and a very warm atmosphere in the restaurant and again have to mention the very friendly...

I stayed for one night with my partner in January. This pub and B&B has a lot going for it. First it is easy to find and well located, being opposite the train station. The pub is a lovely old building and has a nice standard of clientele. The rooms are clean, warm and comfy and are currently being upgraded....
