What a beautiful place and property first of all. Lovely welcome with cake on arrival. Breakfast was gorgeous. Steve and and Amanda are a lovely couple with nothing too much trouble. The room was stunning and very comfortable with everything you could need. And to top it off a bottle of lindisfarne mead on the landing for a night cap....

We really enjoyed our last visit and were so impressed with the food that this time we eagerly booked ourselves in to have an evening meal there too. Oh my goodness, amazing.....very generous portions, so incredibly tasty and what a bargain!!! Amanda is an amazing cook, bread is homemade as is the granola (never tasted better) and the jams etc....

We stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of April as Market Cross is perfectly located, not too far from Bamburgh Castle and other local attractions. Our room (Green room) was large, bright and spotlessly clean. It looked out over the back garden and a field behind with sheep. There were lots of little touches including homemade flapjack and an...

We stopped for two nights to explore Bamburgh and Alnwick Castles as part of my partners 40 birthday celebration. The room, hotel and service were everything we had already read in previous reviews. Amanda and Steve are perfect hosts with an eye for detail. The welcome was warm and friendly and that continued throughout the stay. A lovely scented candle...

We arrived to find a beautiful room, extremely clean, lots of room, homemade cookies in the room and mead to try. We were welcomed and offered a piece of cake the moment we walked in. Steve and Amanda were amazing hosts! They gave us great advice for a local place to eat. The breakfast provided was outstanding and was enjoyed...

Had an overnight stay in the Luxury Double Room, which was just as good as it looked on the photo. We were welcomed warmly by our hosts who ensured that we had everything we could want for a perfect overnight stay, including slices of delicious homemade cake on arrivals and a flask of fresh milk for the tea and coffee.....

This is a beautiful homely guest house with superb attention to detail. Lovely homemade jams and marmalades with breakfast, as well as local Lindisfarne Mead you can help yourself to. Great location for exploring Holy island and surrounding area. The level of accommodation and service felt more like a Boutique Hotel! One of the best Guest Houses/B&Bs i've ever stayed...

We only stayed there for one night but found zero negatives with this place. The room was beautiful, the breakfast was cooked superbly with a full range of breakfast foods from cereals to smoked salmon on scrambled eggs. Everything was homemade and produced locally in the surrounding areas. The beds were super comfy and the location is idyllic, especially for...
