Arrived at Hillcrest on a very cold evening, a roaring log fire burning in the lounge and the offer of tea was most welcoming .. Shown to our very comfortable room , with a large en suite bathroom with bath and separate shower ..We were the only guests staying that night and really felt at home from the minute we...

Words cannot explain how delighted we were to have stayed in this B&B for 3 nights. This, for us, is the ultimate B&B experience. We had a most decadent and comfortable time here. It is run by a real sweet gentleman named Malcolm, who cooks your breakfast to order and cannot do enough for you. He gave us Room 3...

From the moment we crossed the threshold Malcolm was a wonderful host. The B&B is very well situated in the beautiful village of Bamburgh about 10 mins walk from the castle and the lovely beach, so no excuse for putting on weight which would be easy given the super breakfasts. The room was very well appointed with a large bathroom...

Just wanted an unfussy couple of days and Hillcrest House was ideal. A really warm welcome, neat tidy en-suite room and a wholesome breakfast. Loads of help on what to do and where to go backed up by humorous anecdotes sharing personal experiences of the area. A great place to stay.

Absolutely top notch, everything you need, spotlessly clean, close to the castle and best of all was the proprietor Malcolm!. A lovely man, he gave us a great welcome and looked after us very well. A pity we were only staying for one night.

This is a lovely B&B right in the heart of Bamburgh and a stone's throw from the castle. I only spent one night here but would highly recommend it. The owner, Malcolm, can't do enough for you and his cooked breakfast was fantastic. If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Bamburgh, definitely book up!
