Stayed at The Oaks for 1 night during the week following a round of golf at Alnwick GC. Nice pint, very large room with 1 double and 2 single beds. Would definately recommend this and will bear it in mind for future trips. Full English breakfast in the morning was also spot on!

My husband booked this as a surprise overnight stay for my birthday last week as he'd read some good reviews on TripAdvisor. We arrived on a Monday afternoon not really sure what to expect (myself especially as I had no idea where we were going.) The place looked lovely upon arrival and was right on the outskirts of Alnwick so...

Stayed for the weekend, found the room to be nice and a decent size. However: -There wasn't any dressing table to put any toiletries on. - There was only ONE mirror, which was in the bathroom which was hard when doing hair and when one was in the bathroom and one was in the bedroom. - The shower cubicle was...

Really good hotel with very good food. A very enjoyable breakfast and first class diinner. Even though dining room and bar were busy we did not have long to wait to get served. Better booking at weekend though. Rooms large with really big beds. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. 10min walk into town.

Arrived for a 2-night stay but didn't stay. The first room we were shown was extremely tired (nothing like the photos on the website) but the killer was the state of the pillows - not only were they very nearly flat, there were no pillow cases. Having seen the state of bare pillows, I wasn't sure I wanted to rest...

The hotel was very nice, very clean room and the room were bigger than we thought and breakfast was very nice and the staff were friendly. I would recommend this hotel and you need a car so you can travel around. We would go there again. Thank you.

A visit to the restaurant even in the quiet season was a great success. Good food, pleasant ambience all at a reasonable price. We chose from the carvery menu and were not dissapointed with well prepared generous portions. Worthy of future visits

Really liked Alnwick but would never stay here again - cracked tiles around the bath, grubby looking carpet, worn out decor- needs a refurb. Definitely not worth £120 a night. The room wasn't clean. The breakfast was ok.
