This is a lovely place to stay if you are visiting the North East. Everything about it demonstrates an effortless ease behind which is a lot of very hard work. There is a charm about the place which comes from a charming Hostess, Philly, and Host, Andrew. The house and gardens are lovely and cared for meticulously. The breakfasts are...

We enjoyed wonderful hospitality at Redfoot Lea. Nothing was too much trouble for Philly our Hostess. Everywhere was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. Easy access to A1 but near to Alnwick and coast. We will be back!

From the friendly welcome to the delicious daily cake, we couldn't fault our hosts. Such interesting, intelligent people with a beautiful garden and expert knowledge of the area. Extremely kind and brilliant cook, even giving us lifts. Only one caveat: not ideal if you don't have a car

The hotel was in a very convenient location for our trip to Northumberland situated just off the A1 just on the outskirts of Alnwick. A very tastefully decorated B&B which gives you the privacy of a hotel but the feeling of being in a home. The owners ensured we were welcomed personally on our visit and was given the nice...

Great B&B with a friendly host who goes out of her way to make you very welcome. Very tasty choice of breakfast including fresh berries, Craster kippers or full English and slices of homemade cake to have with your tea, couldn't ask for anything better!

The sumptuous luxury at this superbly appointed B&B together with the hospitality was without parallel. Philippa, with her warm and welcoming friendliness immediately made one feel as if one had been part of the Redfoot Lea 'family' for ever. Having stayed in a variety of very good and highly recommended B&Bs in the past, Redfoot Lea most definitely takes the...

A lovely stay at this stylish and spotlessly clean B&B. Philippa makes everyone feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Great location for exploring Alnwick and the Northumberland Coast. Delicious breakfast with local produce including tasty Craster kippers. Very highly recommended as a convenient, comfortable and hospitable place to stay.

One of the best b&b's we've stayed at. Everything you'd expect and more - cake and a glass of wine on arrival, and excellent breakfast. The Craster kippers are a great way to start the day. I'd recommend without reservation.

Wonderful B&B. Made very welcome, delicious and great choice of breakfast. Home made cake on arrival and every day of our stay. Beautiful home. Tastefully furnished, flurry bath robes and towels and nothing too much trouble. Also good location to access the stunning Northumberland Coast. We hope to get back for another visit.

Quite the nicest B&B we have stayed in, like staying with family. Rooms excellent and very quiet, very modern but stylish - breakfasts could not be bettered. Very close to Anwick and plenty of places to visit nearby. If using sat nav get guidance from Philly Bell as they try and take you in the wrong side down the A1....
