Booked two nights some time ago to accommodate our attendance at a wedding at Alwnick Castle. It could not have worked out better for us. There are some really good reviews below and I do not intend to repeat what others have said. Suffice to say that Charles and Christine delivered efficient quality throughout our stay. Immaculate! Many thanks.

Great place to stay. Best breakfast we've ever had in any B&B or Hotel. Great service and great location. Really nice couple who run it and nice modern comfortable rooms. What more can I say? Go and stay.

We had a five day stay in this excellent guest house which is placed in the centre of Alnwick and makes an excellent base for sight seeing in Northumberland. The host and hostess, Charles and Christine, are very welcoming and informative, the rooms are spotless and the breakfast is excellent. Although it is on the main road into the town,...

Charles and Christine were welcoming and friendly throughout my 11 night stay. They provided an exceptionally high standard of service and cleanliness. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, even for people who don't just want a full English breakfast. Double glazing in my room cut out traffic noise from the main road outside. And for walkers they also have...

Charles and Christine provided every comfort for our 6 night stay. Their house is beautifully and comfortably presented and is immaculate. The position of Oronsay House is perfect for use of public transport and for walking to Alnwick's amenities, or for driving to other locations. The breakfasts were large, very tasty and using local produce. All aspects of our stay...

Booked for 3 nights with my partner and 17 year old grandson and all 3 of us were delighted by the warm welcome given by Charles and Christine. We could not fault any aspect of our stay, everything was of the best quality from the bedding to the toilet paper! My two men did full justice to the breakfasts as...

An elegant town house with a quiet refinement. Charles and Christine have attended to every detail. Exceptional quality and comfort permeates every aspect of your stay. I particularly appreciated the supply of a variety of fruit teas, the fine bone china, luxury bathroom toiletries and a superlative breakfast. I will be returning!

My wife and I visited in mid May and we were accommodated in room 3, which is a twin-bedded room. This was a lovely room with very comfortable beds and adequate space and a very nice en-suite shower room. There were always clean towels and the room was always spotlessly clean. Breakfasts here are legendary and Charles and Christine were...
