Stayed here last Friday night for 2 nights with my partner as we were at a wedding on the Saturday. When we arrived, Bob was welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We enjoyed a few beers in the bar downstairs which has a lovely log fire burning away and a local band "the fiddlers"...

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights on a B+B basis. Bob the owner was a real character with a story for every situation. From our arrival onward, nothing was too much trouble for him. We had ordered an evening meal on the day of our arrival and it was really tasty and home cooked. There was no...

Had a great time in around Alnwick - possibly the friendliest British town we have ever visited, enhanced by a modest but lovely campsite run by one of the best and most full of character landlord/owners we have had the pleasure to meet . (cheers for the bush too Bob) The town and Castle are a 10 to 15 min...

My brother & I both enjoyed our stay here. Cosy room, an excellent & generous cooked breakfast with special sausages in a dinging room with great character. Bob could not have been more welcoming. Great views of the lovely countryside.

Just situated behind the pub which offers b&b, lovely food and drinks, fantastic service in a very friendly environment. I had the cavery today for Sunday lunch, huge portions, delicious,...

Been a while since we visited Bob for Sunday lunch, and it was nice to be back for his home cooking and pleasant company. As usual the food was excellent, choice of the usual roasts and a special mince and dumplings! All hot, delicious and plenty of it. All four of us cleared our plates and then after a respite...

This must be the prettiest camp site we have visited. Well kept and tidy and with lovely ducks! However only a cold tap in the campsite toilet. Would have expected hot water for 20 pounds a night. Great location. Landlord Bob is a lovely friendly chap but the food was nothing special. Although it was pleasant we would not visit...

Very disappointed with this B&B. Room very shabby, bathroom tiny and not very clean. There was an overpowering smell in the room which was really outputting. Had already paid for two nights and as Bob was such a nice man, didn't feel we could complain at the time. Would not recommend. Sorry Bob.
