Very busy, but managed to get a table. Service was excellent, as was the starter ( white bait x2). Mains of pepper steak and a burger were also brilliant. Very Reasonably priced - with drinks £20 per head. Also served a very nice pint of Spitfire. I would highly recommend this for a above average pub meal.

Stayed Sat-Sun with friends. We had a twin room in the converted outbuilding. Had all the facilities you expect: flat screen TV, coffee/tea, good beds, shower with shampoo/gels, towels etc.. Room comfortable temperature, not too stuffy. Bed and pillows were good. Optional breakfast in the pub was good and vfm.

Went here for lunch with friends. Service was really friendly and great. Food was amazing, and lots of it too. The chilli on the nachos was lovely. Nice and hot. Certainly recommend for a nice meal. Was fairly quiet but only to be expected on a Monday lunchtime but a few regulars in have a lunch time drink.

Upon arrival we were shown to our room which was across the car park in an out building. We were in the downstairs room. The owner was very chatty and welcoming. However the room was a bit run down and quite damp. Having a relaxing sleep in was off the cards as we could hear every footstep that was made...

I was very disappointment with the menu, which did not have a vegetarian option. The only thing they had was on the specials board - a rice and vegetable roast. Being a Sunday, I foolishly assumed that this might be a good option - a vegetarian alternative to a Sunday roast! However, the despite this being a main course, the...

We went here as a walking group and after a gentle stroll along the beautiful River Nene we turned up ready for a welcome lunch. It was super. Very well presented and extremely tasty. I had Sausage and mash which was just fantastic. Others had the fish and chips which they said was really very good. The beer was also...

Informal local pub. Beer was ok, and I'm told the goulash was very tasty. However, the food was a bit badic -admittedly my burger was quite well cooked but they got the order incorrect (fries and bun instead of salad), and when the salad did finally arrive it consisted of a bit of lettuce and roughly chopped tomatoes shoved in...

Most of the party had the Sunday roast which was excellent - followed by appropriate puddings which were equally good. Service very good. Overall cost including drinks was £17 each. The location in the centre of the town plus their own car park was very good

I enjoyed an evening meal at The Ship last night. The steak pie was good quality and we had a very nice, quiet table. Waitress service taking orders and bringing the bill to the tables was more than we expected in a pub.

We had prebooked our double bed room without seeing the property. upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised to see it was a beautiful old building with a comfy pub up front. Our room was in an extension behind the original buiding. It was small but had two windows, comfortable beds and a good sized bathroom which appeared to be a...
