We visit spa hotels 3 times a year so we’ve been to a few over the years & this is possibly the best for facilities & value for money overall so far & probably deserving the “spa hotel of the year award” we spotted in the entrance hall area. The hotel was much larger than we…
This upscale hotel was built maybe 30 years and was known as The Shire Hotel, in traditional panties and bricks. It now shows some need of tlc and some refurb. We were in the bar area, breaking a cross-country journey as it's immediately off the A14, almost overhanging it so no…
A friend and I enjoyed a spa and afternoon tea day here to belatedly celebrate our 50th birthdays. We both thoroughly enjoyed our day. Everything was fabulous. We will be back even if we don't have a 'big' birthday to celebrate.
New to look old hotel situated on a business park close to the motorway network, so great for business people. Love the overall style and design, particularly the seating area and staircase in the reception area. Pool and spa very nice, good proportioned sauna and steam room.…
Meeting a lawyer friend for dinner in Kettering, I thought that a top hotel would provide an elegant meal. Situated in the Parkway, it has no wonderful views. The service was attentive but slow. The food adequate but not impressive.
"Avoid rooms facing the A14; ours had triple glazing so no problem in February but this could be a problem, in summer!"
"Did not stay"
"Restaurant review only"
"The forth floor was quiet"
"Only been once our room was fine."
