clean rooms and all staff more than helpful would stay again without hesitation. parking was plentiful and coffee shop and m&s garage in walking distance was a great bonus. kettering only a 5 minute drive however we had a takeaway delivered from lee gardens chinese that was amazing!
Have stayed in Travelodges before, but this was the first time visiting this one in Kettering. This is between a service station and a Starbucks. We had pre booked and paid before arrival. We wore masks when moving around corridors and reception but others did not. Hand gel in reception. Room was fine bigger than some I have stayed in we were on the 1st floor room 34. Tea/coffee facility, TV, 30 mins free WiFi, water in bathroom was very hot, shower was fine, nice comfy bed. Man on reception was very welcoming and pleasant.
I am classed as a "critical worker" was booked for a week but called on Tuesday by Travelodge management and told the hotel was closing and I have 2 hours to collect my belongings, no warning nothing! When I got there all the customers were in the car park trying to figure out what to do next, family's key workers etc, disgusting actions with no concern for anyone.luckily I found a local air bnb, others were not so lucky,i will never return!!
Appalling lack of courtesy recieved a phone call at 4:30/5pm on 2nd night of a 4 night stay whilst working away as a "Key Worker" to be told to collect belongings and leave immediately due to "Corona" outbreak lost money from leaving work early and left a terrible impression at new role & had to panic search and pay over and above for last minute emergency accommodation! Not impressed will not be returning! On side note the bedding was stained with make-up it had been washed & smelt ok still far from Quality.
While the hotel was very clean, bed was very comfy, and staff excellent. BUT overnight we had our van broken into, and items stolen, asked to look at cct, this they do not have, it's there as a deterrent, but not working. Very disappointed.
