This proprietor was not on site or seen during our visit. The standard of cleanliness and hospitality was extremely poor. We booked the accommodation with the view to eat in the restaurant at night but it was closed, therefore we had to eat elsewhere. The stains on the floor and dividing curtains had obviously been there for quite a while,...

If you love rugged scenery, smugglers coves, a hint of Count Dracula, a hint of the unreal ... cockles, mussels, rock pools in general, plus a really comfy bed and a fantastic breakfast ... if you love Robin Hoods Bay? you will love it here ☺

Small quirky B ad B near the slip way. Building has lots of history and is interesting and charming because of this. The hallway was very dark and the bedrooms the same. The en suite was very small and the shower uncooperative. Breakfast was served in the cafe downstairs which did not open until 9.30, not good enough for travellers....

Host contact was only by telephone. Accommodation was fair but stairs tricky with backpacks. There was no offer of even a cold self service breakfast before 09.30 so had to miss due to travel connections. For the price it's poor. Would highly recommend the Victoria Hotel instead for coastal views, facilities and is £20 cheaper! If there was a bar/lounge...

This quaint historic small hotel should be wonderful but is sadly one to think twice about. Lightbulbs were missing ( to disguise the uncared for state) minimal toiletries in spite of the rates, no Sunday breakfast until 9.30 (despite the owner's statement some great staff came to our aid at 9). Rates are twice that of a comparable B&B. So...

Starting with the positives - the food is just lovely! We had dinner (spoilt for choice) it was all excellent as well as good value for money & we had breakfast which was just as great. The waitresses were polite and helpful. It's close to the sea & some lovely little shops. On to the negatives - the stairs (3...
