I use to work at the Vintage in the 70's when it was 'THE' place to be in terms of the restaurant and pub - it was never empty from the moment its doors opened. Our party arrived at 6pm on Friday to an empty pub and restaurant…. Our party felt it was cold in the restaurant and asked the...

We first visited this hotel in the 70s so recently in the area we called in. We were shocked to find it was exactly as we remembered, it was like going back in time. The Vintage is truly vintage but seriously needs some TLC.

We were travelling from Scotland and dark was descending. Dreading the thought of another Travel Lodge/Holiday Inn stay, we came across this little gem of a place and thought we would take advantage of their wifi to find a room. After enjoying the warm welcome, lovely beer and atmosphere we asked if we could stay here. Sean couldn't have been...

LOVE this place. LOVE Sean and Ann. Sean has amazing passion and warmth and Ann is an absolute Gem. So bubbly and caring. Cutest B&B and so real. Every place should be like this! I will definitely be coming to visit again soon.

I called in this hotel with my family earlier this week ( Tuesday evening ) and we simply could not fault it. Sean, our genial host, was friendly and always attentive to the service he was offering. The food we received was first class and was reasonably priced too! The ambience was good and had a warm 'homely' feel. Without...

The Vintage is a local hotel to me and we regularly enjoy superb food and excellent, friendly service at this establishment. Often overlooked or missed by travellers as it is tucked away behind a larger, commercial chain hotel. The menu is simple, good wholesome food and extremely competitively priced. Their in-house fish and chips are the best I have ever...

Our family were let down by another hotel tonight but the owner and Chef accommodated us and the food was great! Service was second to none and the food (we ate from the menu and the dishes were varied and all home cooked) was fab. We were very impressed by the staff's attentiveness and the whole dining experience was brilliant....

Stopped overnight at the campsite behind the hotel.Had a good experience at the Vintage Inn. Staff very welcoming, nothing too much trouble. We were told before ordering that it would be 25 minutes for the food to be cooked. It was exactly 25 minutes and worth the wait. Well presented, hot and very tasty. Not too expensive either. Will be...
