A lovely hotel with private parking right in the centre of Knaresborough. We had a huge room (room 1). The bed was king size with good quality bedding. The bathroom was modern and spacious too. There was every amenity available. Breakfast was delicious made with high quality produce, the jam and marmalade were homemade. Don't be put off by the...

We had a lovely stay at Newton House. The room was definitely 5 star standard extremely clean and refurbished to a good standard. The breakfasts were generous and cooked to order. Welcolming staff as well. Light sleepers ask for a room away from the main road if possible as on a very busy town thoroughfare. Hotel has own free parking...

Relaxed and informal stay. Room warm and cosy if a bit dated.Excellent location to meander around town with car parking available. Honesty bar a lovely touch and interesting range of books in the sitting room. Breakfast amongst the best I've ever had. Cinnamon baked plums with home made granola, followed by freshly cooked choice of hot breakfast.

Clean and well located and Denise went beyond what she needed to to help us when we arrived. A lovely lounge with a well equipped honesty bar and hospitality trays and a mini bar in the room. But it was the breakfast that put the place right up there! Absolutely gorgeous, amazing choice, cooked to order and for the poster...

Spent only one night in room 10 (stable block room). Very spacious accommodation, clean, comfy room. Every thing we needed plus a couple of extras. Huge comfy bed, mini bar in the room and yummy breakfast. Newton House is a lovely old grand building and we would definitely return. Thank you for making us feel welcome ☺

Entrance to our room was from the main road Like our own annex The entrance hall was our wardrobe Big hooks with coat hangers on No problem If you are walkers and get your clothes wet. You can hang them on the hooks to dry. Adequate room size....

Just returned from newton house & I have to say that for the money we have experienced so much better value. I think it is run on a reputation stemmed from four in a bed success. The room was large but most of the things weren't quite right. The Tv channels were hit & miss , the wifi was on...

We booked this hotel quite late, and were glad we did. We had decided to stay in Knaresborough, the night before continuing our journey onto York the next day, to celebrate my birthday. We had a friendly welcome by the proprietor and very helpful information of places to eat and visit whilst in Knaresborough. The rooms were comfortable and clean...

I usually book myself a hotel when travelling. So I was a bit apprehensive staying in here as a Female solo traveller.. However I could've been more secure after been greeted by Denise and shown around.. I stayed in Room 4 which had a massive 6×6 bed which so comfortable, soft and cosy I had no trouble sleeping. This room...

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a little get away for some quality time together. We arrived a little early at around 11 and asked if we could keep our car in the small car park (probably good for no more than 6 cars), she was fine with this. Spent the day walking around Knaresborough and came back around...
