Just returned from Goldsborough Hall after staying 3 nights Our suite was fabulous four poster bed and an ensuite with shower 2 basins and a large jacuzzi bath. All staff were excellent, helpful and just the right amount of friendliness. We ate breakfast every morning and had the 3 course set menu £45 on our last evening. I think I...

We had a wonderful night at Goldsborough Hall. It is a beautifully restored old house with Royal connections. With only 12 rooms, it offers a very personal touch. We walked around the grounds and enjoyed our luxurious suite. For dinner we started in the library where we chose our food before being asked into the dining room. Wonderful food and...

This hotel certainly exceeded our expectations. Our bedroom was so comfortable and has been refurbished to a very good standard. We enjoyed the tasting menu and the lovely dining room it was served in. The staff are so pleasant and helpful. The hall has lovely grounds to walk in. A very pleasant stay.

This venue will not fail to impress and satisfy. A beautiful hotel with stunning rooms and superb food all supported by the most comfortable lounges. There is also a newly-added orangery which provides a super space for afternoon teas. There is an extensive patio area for taking in the views of the garden. The grounds are simply lovely enabling peaceful...

I started with the calamari which was so fresh followed by the sirloin beef Sunday dinner excellent, others also tried the belly pork...

I can thoroughly recommend a stay at this establishment. Nothing is too much trouble for the highly professional and efficient staff. Stayed for a couple of nights and had the 5 course tasting menu. Excellent. Although the 7 course tasting menu was on offer it would have been too much - even for my husband !!! Will definitely return.

We stayed here for two nights on our anniversary. We started by being upgraded to a suite which was very nice but notwithstanding that the hotel was superb. The staff insisted that this was not a hotel but staying in a country house and that is how it felt - and I have stayed in many such hotels. The atmosphere...

We visited Goldsborough Hall for afternoon tea on a cold but dry February afternoon. Prior to the walk we enjoyed a lovely walk around the grounds to see both the interesting collection of notable trees and then the extensive snowdrop collection, which certainly had varieties I had never seen before. We were given an information sheet which was very helpful....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Goldsborough Hall is a beautifully restored, privately owned stately home tucked away in the small village of Goldsborough, just off the A59 between Harrogate and the A1M. The 400yr old hall has had many residents through the years, being built for the high sheriff of Yorkshire, the last resting place of the eldest founding father to all thoroughbred horses and most famously the first family home of HRH Princess Mary, the aunt of our current Queen. ... more   less
