A pub serving seriously great food with wonderful accommodation across the road. Lovely room with every amenity and huge bathroom with shower and spa bath. Breakfast is in a room with huge beams and a massive circular oak table. Lovely menu includes truffled mushrooms on toast, boiled egg and soldiers and porridge with whisky to set you up for a...

In the interests of brevity, and as I am pushed for time, I will simply state that as a true "foodie", I was not dissapointed with what I was presented with. Service was sharp and sophisticated, venue was immaculate and the food, the "star" of the show. Well done team, see you soon.

The Star Inn in Harome is an amazing award winning 15th Century thatched gastropub in the heart of the yorkshire dales. I was taken to the Star over 10 years ago as a surprise valentine dinner and fell in love at that point. when we decided to get married, we asked the question and low and behold they had just...

We stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. What a fabulous place to stay in a quiet village location. We received a warm and lovely welcome and were given a guided tour of the Cross House Lodge and our room. The rooms are all individually furnished and decorated in a traditional style and ours was lovely - good quality furniture...

We booked a night's stay following recommendation from friends. What a brilliant idea! We arrived at 3pm and were shown to our lovely room. The decor was very tweed county set, but totally in keeping with the building. The spa bath was a real treat for sore and aching muscles. Here was complimentary afternoon tea at the breakfast bar; a...

Went to the Star Inn for my third time this Sunday. Unfortunately, whereas in the past, the food has been excellent and not one complaint was had, this time round it wasn't as good. We come to the Inn for the food and have never stayed. With it being a Sunday, we expected there would be a set menu or...

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We do offer an A la Carte menu on Sundays, which includes roast beef. We do not offer a set menu or a 'roast only thing', so I am a little confused... We cook the beef medium rare but many guests ask for this to be cooked more 'rare', medium...

My favourite place was the immaculate veg garden with a long table to eat at. Dinner was delicious though lunch disappointing both in content and the forty five minutes it took for a sandwich to arrive. The rooms are tastefully done and communal areas very relaxing. The young staff looking after the residents were delightful. Breakfast however was disappointing, weak...
