Excellent, friendly and welcoming staff, fantastic food and beautiful grounds. The place was recommended to us by friends and we could see why. The room (Mallard) was clean and a reasonable size but the bed and pillows were not very comfortable. Would certainly return but would ask for a different room.

Stunning building and grounds. It is what Fawlty towers would have been if Basil wasn't there. I would thoroughly recommend this beautiful hotel with exceptional staff to anybody visiting this part of the country.

Having read some of the reviews we were initially dubious. But we Loved it! Good choice of sandwiches, tea and coffee. My scone (fruit) was delicious, my husband's (plain) not quite as good. The waitress was attentive. The location was very good. we enjoyed our visit and would definitely book again.

The location of the Grinkle Park is beautiful with large mature gardens and wonderful views of rolling green hills. The Staff were lovely and could not have been more helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean, warm and comfortable... just what we needed. Unfortunately the menu for the restaurant fell way below our expectations and the food was average...

Many thanks for taking the time to post your review. I was disappointed to read that you felt the menu was below par, and rest assured I will be discussing this with the team of Chefs. We change our menu daily to reflect seasonality and variety and the majority of the time this works. Quite clearly we fell short with...

Having read the mostly wonderful reviews of this Hotel we decided to invite a couple of our friends for dinner and chose the Table d'hote menu. We didn't stay at the hotel so I am obviously not reviewing the rooms. On arrival we were greeted with a friendly welcome from the Receptionist who guided us into the lounge. We were...

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. I was disappointed to read your comments on the dinner you experienced, and will most definitely be reviewing standards as a result. I can assure you that this must have been an isolated incident the majority of the time we receive incredibly good feedback. All our dishes are produced fresh...

The Grinkle Park Hotel is a rare gem snuggled in abundant, lush gardens at the end of a winding, beautiful driveway. We stayed in April so unfortunately, the masses of Rhododendrons were not in bloom, but we have an excuse, if one were needed, to return. We stayed for six nights from a Sunday, arriving in time for dinner on...

We have three nights here , beautiful surroundings, helpful and friendly staff and good food .What more could you want? The room was small but adequate only downside was that there was no plug near a mirror making drying hair guesswork !

Many thanks for posting your review. I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. I have noted your comment with regards to the plug socket - my fault. I hold my hands-up and overlooked it whilst refurbishing. I have however, put hair dryers in all the rooms to try and reduce the annoyance of this. Once again thank...

Stayed here last week and what an experience. The room we stayed in , the service we received, the food, the location were all excellent and it would be very difficult to criticise any element of this fine hotel. Please pay it a call if you can, you will be in for a treat.

We had an overnight stay and we were impressed not only with the hotel, but with the staff. We found them to be very friendly and accommodating. They all seemed to get on with each other which made for a very comfortable atmosphere. . They were discreet about my gluten free diet and unlike some other establishments, the staff seemed...

Using a voucher bought as a Xmas present, we booked afternoon tea. We had never been here before, and found it to be delightful setting in its own grounds, somewhat remote, but on a fine day, a very 'civilised' way to spend an hour or so. The staff were very pleasant and efficient. The afternoon tea was excellent, and as...

Many thanks for posting your review. I am chuffed to bits that we ticked all the boxes for you and you left as two happy bunnies. Come back again soon, perhaps in May or early June when the Rhododendrons are in bloom and you can enjoy afternoon tea whilst watching some more happy bunnies on the back lawn !! Once...
