We stayed at the hotel for a wedding, only a number of weeks after the fire suffered by Crathorne Hall, in which most of one of its wings was lost. The staff were really helpful and the hotel still put on a first rate wedding, despite the loss of the wing. We stayed in the Borrowby room, which was lovely...

An exceptional hotel. As we walked through the entrance door we were greeted with a cheery smile, and every other member of staff embodied that same cheery and professional approach. You were made to feel as if you were at home with the benefit of staff to look after your every whim. Because it was our wedding anniversary, we were...

I was surprised by a friend and treated to afternoon tea last Thursday, (20/11/14). I believe there was an offer on, 2 for £30. We were given a complimentary glass of mulled wine each and our order taken. We wanted to change our sandwiches as we didn't like some of the fillings on offer, our thanks to the kitchen for...

My wife and I took my mother to the hotel for afternoon tea as part of her birthday celebrations. We received a very warm welcome and we're shown into the drawing room. After ordering high tea for three, we each received a glass of mulled wine to ward off the chill outside. Not too long afterwards the glorious delacacies arrived....

From the moment we drove down the half mile drive this hotel and its staff exceeded our expectations. The staff were all, without exception, welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room and bed were luxurious and spotlessly clean. The food was wonderful. A splendid and relaxing experience.

We had our perfect wedding at Crathorne Hall on 15th November! From the beginning the staff were so attentive. Our wedding co-ordinator Vicki was superb in the run-up to our day. Elie in particular went above and beyond during our stay. Sophie ensured our wedding and full weekend ran smoothly and organised our day with her calm professionalism and Gloria...

We were attending a wedding in a nearby venue and stayed two nights at Crathorne. The hotel is in a beautiful setting. It is very much a wedding venue with at least three taking place whilst we were there. We found it rather busy. The breakfast room was very busy and the service wasn't very good. Our rooms were nice...

We booked in for an anniversary stay in December, our package included dinner, bed, breakfast and cream tea! The staff were very helpful prior to our arrival as the cream tea stated it was for the first day of arrival however they let us take it the following day. The dinner was delicious, we had 3 courses each off the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Built in 1906, with captivating views of the Leven Valley on the edge of the Yorkshire Moors, Crathorne Hall is at once grand and stately, warm and welcoming. Owned by the Dugdale family until 1977, the hall has played host to politicians, courted royalty and delighted socialites over the decades. Yet despite moving in stately circles, the house has stayed true to its roots as a place of entertainment and relaxation. Now it is yours to explore. Enjoy an overnight stay in one of our 37 bedrooms (17 of which have recently been refurbished following a £4 million restoration of the Hall's East Wing), plan your perfect day and take over the hotel for your wedding or inspire your delegates with our meeting facilities. ... more   less
