We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Heather Cottage. Angela and Peter were wonderful hosts, giving advise on where to go for dinner and phoning ahead and making bookings for us. Our room was tastefully decorated and breakfasts were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. They have great knowledge of the area and even had laminated maps which we could borrow...

What a fabulous place! Wonderful, friendly hosts, beautiful house, lovely room and probably the best breakfasts we have had. We had a gorgeous view of the famous rock garden from our bedroom window. Heather Cottage is within easy walking distance of places to eat and we would recommend it wholeheartedly. Hoping to return.

What a welcome, tea, cake (homemade) and a chat in the kitchen on arrival. Great room, we slept like logs, wonderful breakfasts set us up for a days walking - great walk suggested by Peter. Nothing too much trouble including booking a table each night in the village pub & hotel - great beer & food in both!

I booked this on behalf of family visiting from Australia and am answering similarly. They were highly delighted with every aspect of their stay at Heather Cottage. They commented most favourably on the quality of the rooms and facilities as well as the magnificent breakfasts.

Not often that we are able to stay in a lovely Edwardian house with period features. Very friendly, attentive and helpful hosts with excellent local knowledge. Comfortable bedroom overlooking a fabulous rock garden. Delicious breakfast. We hope for future visits.
