Stopped off for a cuppa and a cake during a circular walk taking in Askrigg. Welcoming and warm on a cold day, it is obviously popular and we got one of the last tables. Very good value, it offered good quality and good service at a reasonable price. Nuff said - we would recommend and will call again when in...

Brilliant food, welcome and service. The road side sign attracted me to stop and it was such a worthwhile stop. The atmosphere was warm with locals and visitors. The food was far better than I might have expected.....cauliflower soup with saute mushrooms on top. This was a first for me and was tasty, nourishing ,well presented and ideal after a morning...

We popped in to Hamilton's and enjoyed delicious scones in such a pleasant tea room. Thank you so much. In fact later in the morning we encouraged two other couples we met to visit you, I hope they did.......

Very friendly owners who can fully cater for anyone who needs gluten free food. The cakes are amazing and a choice as well. My idea of heaven! It was very clean, warm and welcoming and I would thoroughly recommend to all, but especially to coeliacs or anyone following a gluten free diet.

The B&B here is certainly the Best of British. We stopped en route here last year for lunch, which was superb. This year we returned and stayed 3 nights and wish it had been longer. Steve and Sandra give you such a warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble for them and they made us feel so at home. We...

My sister and I stopped here before starting to hike the Herriot Way. The hospitality and warm welcome was much appreciated before and after the four day hike. Fabulous raisin scones and tea were presented upon our arrival. The beds were so comfortable. Vegetarian options for breakfast was a treat too. Steve and Sandra really know how to make their...

Just passing through Aysgarth on route to Leyburn when we came upon this lovely tearoom. What a welcoming man Steve is (didn't meet Sandra) my husband can highly recommend the "fly pie". Will definitely go back when next in the dales and would love to stay overnight next time.

We had been visiting Hamiltons Tea Rooms before it was actually called Hamiltons, being Kitty's originally, on our way to the Lakes cross country on the A684 some 9 years ago. Our meals whether it had been lunch, breakfast or just tea and cake had always been excellent. This time we booked a room to do a little hiking in...
