Loads of character, superbly fitted with useful reading material for the area. Excellent service - nothing too much trouble. Private parking spot right next to the front door. Secure storage for bikes. Strongly recommended.

We stayed here for just one night in July. The house is really quaint but comfortable and fitted out to a very high standard. We had twin room right at the top of the house which did necessitate clambering up some very steep stairs. However it was worth it as the room was oozing character and was very comfortable. The...

The hands that work this house have pieced together a perfect place to pause at Ashby. Mike & Sally are the epitomy of professional hosts. After trying others in the area, I've stayed at this exceptional venue around seven times in seven months, appreciating it's charm, style, quality, service and central location - 100% worthy of the 4-star place that...

Stayed for one night in the yellow room which is at the top of the house giving us a lovely view of the church. Room and bathroom was spotlessly clean, comfy bed and excellent...

We had all three rooms for the two nights before and after our daughter's wedding. The welcome we received from the owners was superb. We quite literally took over the lounge/dining room on the day of the wedding. Nothing was too much trouble - attentive yet discreet. All in all, The Clockmaker's House added so much to the whole weekend....

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for Valentines night. The owner was very nice and made us feel welcome. The room was very clean and we liked the little extras, kit kats, biscuits etc. Breakfast was nice and its only a few minutes walk to the local shops and pubs.

“The yellow room is lovely and at the top of the house. The stairs are quite steep but no problem if you don't have difficulty walking.”

“Fitness centre and public pool are within walking distance (minutes). Lots of places to eat on the Main Street. The blue room is at the top of the house with extra single beds for families and a shower; the yellow room (also at the top of the house) has a shower attachment over the bath and single beds; the green room has a bath and over bath shower. All rooms are well-equipped, comfortable, and spotless.”
