One night here over bank holiday. The rooms here are being refurbished , our room was enormous with an enormous bed, TV, complimentary tea / coffee etc plus biscuits. The bathroom had a sauna in , and was extremely spacious, the towels very very soft. The bed was very comfortable, blanket instead of duvet. We did have breakfast in the...

I had a good stay with some colleagues on a Wednesday night. My room was dated but pretty clean and the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant was busy but we were offered the same meal in the bar which was really good. The service wasn't bad but not as attentive as some of the other reviews allude to however...

My title says it all. Room clean and well appointed. Complimentary fruit available and an ice in room hospitality tray. Selection of bath products very nice. . Lunch menu beautifully cooked and presented. My companions ate lamb shank which was meltingly tender, veg cooked perfectly. I had chicken in a lovely mustardy Creasy stance with mushrooms. Delish! helpful and friendly...

Went to Sykeside for a family meal to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries and was not disappointed. The food was fabulous and very well priced. Everyone enjoyed the meal choices. The staff were helpful and made sure we were well looked after even making something special for the youngest member of our family. Would highly recommend it for a meal or...

The room (2) was well appointed, I was surprised to see the bath was a spa type and was very impressed. I quickly warmed up with a nice warm glow feeling. Breakfast the ingredients was laid out was eye catching, I was very...

Conservatory is a lovely tranquil place to have afternoon tea, plentiful supply of hot drinks, lots of cakes and plenty of food, they did doggy bags for anything you didn't eat, at it was a good price. We enjoyed it and will go back.

Stayed for one night after a family funeral in Ramsbottom. The owners were friendly, the house was beautiful, my bedroom (No 1) was elegant, simply but sympathetically decorated and had all the facilities I could ask for. The bathroom was huge and had a jacuzzi, power shower et al. Views from the front window were nice. As the wake was...

First time visit here and after reading earlier reviews I was rather disappointed with the food and the overall ambiance of the hotel. The bar and reception area really have very little atmosphere. We were a party of 12 and apart from three other ladies were the only people dining. The menu looks promising and certainly the portions were generous...

A group of us dined here for a pre Christmas meal. There was a good selection of courses with food being served quickly piping hot. Puddings were delicious and everything was presented in a most attractive way. Well worth a visit
