I have written about this venue before. We (my fiancee and I with our dog) stayed 2 nights very recently. As I review places regularly I decided to create my P.A.C.E. award, (not that I am any professional judge you understand) but we visit enough places to get a good (and objective) idea of what it is about. P.A.C.E. stands...

The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The food was excellent, and the premises well kept and warm, with wood burners in most public rooms. Set in a lovely location and a nice large car park...well worth popping into after a drive in the countryside

Yesterday we met with friends and our dogs at this wonderful pub set in the heart of Waddington overlooking the village square. The welcome and service were both first-class. As soon as we arrived we were greeted and attended to despite it being fairly busy and the dogs were provided with bowls of water, very welcome on such a hot...

We visited here to celebrate our anniversary. We ordered scallops and black pudding to start with. Our mains were Rib Eye steak and the sea bass. We had a guest ale rose Zinfandel wine. It is lovely place to visit, whether you just go in for a drink or something to eat. Better to reserve a table and not be disappointed....

Called in for a beer on our walk around Waddington, it was quite busy and the food looked very nice when serving their patrons. A lot must have been ordering from the Special's board because they had to keep cleaning the board. Well worth a visit.

Visited The Waddington Arms with a friend for a Thursday evening glass of wine and stayed for dinner. We both had the sea bass and risotto with some garden vegetables. The staff were young but friendly enough. As for the food, disappointing for the price but it was ok. The fish was over cooked and dried out. Presentation could be...

Spent a lovely Friday evening here at the start of a long weekend hotel hopping between three of James'Places. Check in was smooth to a pretty comfy attic room (mind your head) After a cold and windy visit to Clitheroe we returned for a few drinks in the bar area with its glowing log burner and warm rustic feel. Then...

Forget the Gallic charms of good old Avenue George V in the delightful and romantic city of Paris, with its prestigious Leading Hotel of the World, The Four Seasons George V, it may be exclusive but i bet you can get a room at the drop of a hat ! The Waddy, however, not a prayer. Liken it to getting...

It's was alright, food wasn't as good as it usually is, quality seems to have gone down a little, had sausages, they just seemed like supermarket bought sausages. Service was fine, fire could have done with being a bit more full on as it was a chilly evening.
