A nice hotel run by friendly people. If you are in Rochdale it is an excellent base for the countryside and Manchester. We have stayed there at least half a dozen times and have been well looked after. The breakfast alone will set you up for the day and evening meals are excellent. I had one Friday taken a fancy...

We stayed at this hotel with friends in order to attend a party at the nearby golf club. It was very comfortable and warm. Met by a bit of a grumpy foreign gentleman who had very little to say. All other staff very pleasant and helpful with local information. Nice bar and food. We had the Xmas menu in the...

Very pleasant bedroom- room number 2 , with an excellent bathroom . A bit of noise from the room next door when they ran the tap, but nothing too awful. Lounge bar was very small, but comfortable, and the restaurant likewise. Dinner was very good indeed. Breakfast was good, slightly spoiled for me by cheap sausages which I had one...

We cannot praise Michelle and her staff at the Castleton Hotel highly enough. It was the perfect venue for our wedding reception, consisting of 23 guests. Michelle was attentive to every detail right from the start and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent as was the service. The cost for the Reception was very reasonable, and so...

It was so pleasant to have a warm, friendly and helpful welcome. Breakfast was great. The staff seemed to care and although we were there only one night and did not eat at the hotel in the evening we had an extremely good impression. Would recommend.

The Castleton hotel excelled my expectations. When we arrived on the Friday afternoon the hostess was there to greet us at the door, she was very attentive and even offered to carry our bags to the room. The hotel overall has a relaxed atmosphere the interior of the hotel is very stylish with an art deco style glass ceiling and...

The staff are very friendly. Restaurant serves a very good British Fillet Steak. Location is a little remote, but a local pub within 200m for a change of scenery. Breakfast chef went out of his way to get me tinned tomatoes (I know I'm a heathen) to make my stay more personal. Great English breakfast, even without personal touch. All-in-all,...

I called the Castleton hotel today to book 8 double rooms and a meeting room for some colleagues. I was greeted by a mumbling man on the end of the phone and I said I wanted to check their availability. His response was, “Who is this?”, which made me think I’d dialled the wrong number. I asked if this was...
