I had a last minute booking in this charming, atmospheric b&b. I would recommend it to anyone who likes charm over modernist sophistication. Perfect location, bedroom comfy and clean. The breakfast was wonderful. No criticism other than I wanted to stay longer.... I will be back!

Well what a lovely place to stay. We were put in room 5 which is the attic room. My partner and I are both 5ft 5 - I think that's the tallest you can be without bumping your head. The stairs up to the room are very steep but gave it a quirky character. Couldn't fault it really, except maybe... More

We spent a fantastic weekend in Whitstable and this was the perfect base. Nice personal friendly service, rooms comfy and great customer care. The breakfast was good too. I note that some people have mentioned that they thought the beds were hard which they are. However if that's not your thing there is a mattress cover that makes it all... More

Very friendly owner who let us look at the different available rooms when we arrived. The ones we saw were nicely decorated and very clean. Lovely big Georgian house, great location by the beach. Enjoyed the breakfast and morning staff very professional and friendly. Highly recommended.

Lovely situation but seemed in need of a lot of TLC. Cold bedroom, we had to keep our coats on, only one of the two radiators worked and that was the smaller one. The advertised " en suite " bathroom was admittedly for our exclusive use but access was out of the room and end of corridor.

Great location by the sea and harbour. Car park next door which charges 90p per hour between 8am to 8.30pm but free parking on the street, if you can find a space! Clean, comfortable room. Delicious breakfast served in wood panelled room with a cheerful character sat in the corner. Good value. Friendly staff. There is 5Mb wifi but no... More

We stayed in room 6 which had the most beautiful view. The room was very comfortable and we could not have felt more welcomed. We had my 3 year old son and again he was well looked after. At breakfast the ladies could not do enough. The scrambled eggs and smoked salmon was yummy. We would definitely stay again.

Visited Copeland House over the Oyster Festival Weekend, excellent location, you can walk everywhere, car park close by. Room was ok, bathroom needed a goood clean, lots of mould in shower, which was off putting to be honest and towels were very old. Bed was comfy, really liked the dining room, light and airy, breakfast was of good quality, poached... More

We arrived at Copeland House on the Friday evening. I was very surprised that when the owner answered the door she did not bother to show us to our room. In fact, we got the distinct impression that we were an inconvenience to her. We were in room 5 at the top of the house. The bed was uncomfortable and... More
