Stayed for the night after visiting The Old Dairy Brewery. It was a cold day so a seat next to the open fire was most welcome! We enjoyed a few pints and a very nice freshly cooked meal before retiring to comfortable rooms with a lot of character and nice views (mine was of the adjacent church). A big pot...

Can't fault this place really; nice atmosphere, candles, fire and an old feel that they don't try to change. Food is good, and great for local produce and the landlords won sausages. Dog friendly too and our little pup has become a pub dog now!

Lovely place - tasty food from a sensible menu, a good pint and excellent, friendly service. As a family (2 adults and 2 teenagers) we thoroughly enjoyed. We sat around the back rather than at the front, although the fire there looked inviting.

Attending the Christmas market we thought we'd have lunch here as was recommended! Bar staff were very rude and unfriendly and portion sizes were incredibly stingy for price charged! Ordered the roasts and were totally disappointed with the size of the meals, children's portions by any means! Won't be returning or recommending!

Sorry for the late response to your review. I am sorry to hear that your experience with us wasn't a good one. I can say though that our staff are frequently complimented on their friendly, helpful and accommodating work ethic. Even over that exceptionally busy weekend I heard nothing but positive feedback regarding their efforts. As far as our food...

Great start when booking said needed room early walked through door got a call from above and went straight to room, along wonky corridor to room six...

Thank you for sharing your experience at the Woolpack and we are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. Yes, the small car park can be a problem over a busy weekend but we try and squeeze cars in whenever possible. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Rob

Visiting the area for a few days and really enjoyed this pub. Real local friendly feel. Didn't eat but there appeared to be a nice restaurant to the back. Nice open fires, good beer and decent service.

A very pleasant stay at the Wool Pack. Room was very clean and well presented but a 'Little gift' had been left in the bathroom. We were in Room 6 and for the mist part it was fairly quiet but it is near the entrance and some customers are less noisy than others. It may be called an Hotel but...

We really enjoyed our two night stay at The Woolpack. The room was very comfortable, the food was excellent and the staff were helpful. What was especially good was that the food was local as was the wine and the beer! Lovely to meet some locals in the bar and the quiz night caused a lot of laughs

Stayed here the night before, and the night of my wedding in nearby ratsbury barn. There was a little mix up with the rooms leading up to the day we arrived but this was professionally handled and sorted promptly by the management. We were made to feel welcome and breakfast was lovely.

My partner and I arrived in tenter den for a last minute break to find the only available room in town was here, due to the popular folk festival We'd initially looked to pay considerably more , hoping to have a bit of luxury, but what we found at the Woolpack was very comfortable and far exceeded our expectations We'd...
