Made booking for lunch about a week beforehand. On arrival no knowledge of my booking. Table prepared for us in haste. Attention from staff was minimal and sloppy. Food: first option had "run out". Second option arrived and was just embarrassing....literally a spoon full of lentils with three pomegranate seeds surrounded by five lettuce leaves.... tasteless. My advice..... seriously don't...

We stayed in a very large and comfortable room. We had an enjoyable evening, both dining and taking part in their quiz night, didn't win unfortunately! The breakfast in the morning was massive and really kept me going for the whole day. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Work lunch with 6 ladies. Food ordered at 11am over the phone to be ready approx 12.30 as we were limited for time. Food didn't arrive until 1pm, after we queried why it was taking so long. No apology. The pulled chicken Foccacia was apalling, the smallest squares of chicken accompanied by tons of pickled guerkins and a few tiny...

Where do I start.... I decided to book this as I knew it had previous fantastic reviews. Situated in the heart of Kent this really is a little gem. A 13th century building brought to life with the outstanding staff and modernised interior. I arrived late afternoon and checked into reception after being greeted by Jackie, the what seemed to...

We travelled as a couple. We were greeted warmly by the General manager. The room was lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The breakfast was amazing. Enjoyed our evening meal and the sharing plate. Beer was good quality.

Friendly reception and restaurant staff. Lots of different sized rooms - we had room 1 which was massive and showed its Elizabethan background - slightly sloping floor, exposed beams but tastefully decorated. The only down-side was the very noisy kitchen/restaurant ventilation fan running just outside the window - don't expect a morning lie in!! Breakfast was excellent but evening meal...

Lunch was amazing, couldnt believe at 12.30 we got one of the last tables, so would recommend booking. I had the fish stew which was very good and tasty. Staff are very attentive and good. Have had suppers after the cinema as well and it is always good.

Booked an overnight stay for my husbands birthday. Greeted by Fraser the Manager who checked us in and showed us to our amazing room with a four poster bed in the Crimson Room. Staff very friendly and attentive to our every need, no complaints at all. Great evening meal in the dining room. When we had finished our meal, the...

The only negative is that the standard rooms are tiny and so are the beds, however they were spotlessly clean and very peaceful. The hot breakfast is menu based, so fresh and as you like, with cereals, juices, fruit and pastries laid out daily. You don't have to go far for a meal or a drink, as the bar and...

We stayed here in this hotel for three nights. The staff were very welcoming and the building having historic links too! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The food was of a good quality on the menu for evening meal and breakfast was cooked to order. Can't really fault the food or the room we stayed in, all were lovely....
