Please ignore reviews prior to 2016! This beautiful B&B is under new management. The house and grounds are very lovely; accommodation spotlessly clean and comfortable; hosts very friendly but not intrusive. The surrounding countryside is a delight for those who appreciate the open air and particularly walking, offering both countryside and seaside walking routes. Would definitely visit again. Thank you...

Lovely night's stay at this B&b. . the new owner, Gina is very welcoming and the room was spotless. Lovely breakfast and she even got veggie sausages in for us - thanks Gina . Location is out of Yarmouth but is lovely and quiet

Beautiful cottage, very clean and well presented, hosts were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Very homely feel - would come again! We understand that Medlars has been under new management since 2016 so earlier reviews I'd read on Tripadvisor concerning cleanliness and relative friendliness (or not) of the owner really don't apply.

Stayed here for one night as was on the island for a wedding. The owner was very friendly but not at all intrusive. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean and the delicious breakfast certainly helped mop up the remains of the previous night's alcohol! The house is in a beautiful setting, reasonably priced and an easy walk into Yarmouth.

This is a lovely place to stay, and enjoy the quiet countryside just outside of Yarmouth. Just a quick bus ride into Yarmouth. The owner is very kind- even picked us up in her car while we were walking into Yarmouth (although the walk is lovely!). The beds were so very comfortable, and the rooms nicely furnished.

Me and my girlfriend stayed for 2 nights. The first impression of Yarmouth was great, however the b&b is located in the nearby town (Norton) which is quite a walk if you're with suitcases. The house is quite clean and very pleasant overall. Breakfast is a bit below average compared to other b&b's we stayed in and definitely can be...

Very pleasantly surprised with this B&B. Perfect location, especially if not familiar with the island. We came with bikes and did a 20 mile round trip from the b&b up to Tennyson monument and then enjoyed dinner in Yarmouth. The owner is very friendly and the house is cute and clean. We'd definitely return. We've now moved to Sandown. We...

Medlars is about a 15-20 minutes walk from the Yarmouth Harbour. My sister and I stayed for 3 nights. Liz was helpful and very welcoming. She even went out of her way to buy vegetarian sausages for our breakfast (we are vegetarians). We chose the twin room and it was very comfortable. Teas, coffees, and hot chocolate sachets are provided....

... that people like the previous reviewer vent their spleen and only tell half the story. I have known Mrs Grey for many years, having stayed before at her lovely country house hotel in Scotland where she was renowned for the quality of her food and the warmth of her welcome. I have just stayed there on business and she...

This B&B appears immaculate on the internet but be warned, it is filthy. Carpets, doors, bathroom and more need a thorough clean. It's a strange balance as the owner is friendly and helpful and cooks a hearty breakfast but clearly needs to visit other establishments in the area to see the standard of cleanliness that is expected. Bathrooms are also...
