Used the gym, café and swimming pools regularly when first moved to the Island 8 years ago. The gym isn't adequately staffed or updated: the café is rarely open and the outdoor pool is unusable.

My husband and I started staying in a private chalet 13 years ago when the place was thriving. It had everything you could wish for and if the weather was good there would be no need to go off site at all. They had an...More
Tough to review this one as the accommodation was very nice, great kitchen and living room, nice comfy beds and superb on site pool, gym, shop etc. BUT......no phone signal, no wi-fi...had to go up to the main facilities complex to get emails etc. Also,...More
Went with a member to use the indoor pool facilities. Polite and helpful receptionist. The changing rooms with toilets were all clean and welcoming - very posh. The pool was lovely and warm and quiet which was a real bonus. Definately be going back.
Good to use as a base to explore the Island! The pool and gym were great the ladies changing rooms were immaculate with under floor heating and even a TV!
Used the small bar and had a snack in the restaurant.

I havent been back so cant speak from personal experience but my friend lives in Cowes & uses the indoor pool which she says is ok but expensive. She looked round so we could answer you & says nothing has improved around the site. She talked to a woman who lives there. A lot of the road lights are out of order. Some chalets are on really bad roads. My friend says the wooden chalets behind the fence on the left as you go in are still disused & she has seen badgers & foxes now its dark around there. Locals told her its all run down due to lack of money & facilities. The cafe is all frozen food & overpriced. They close very early. There is no shop..take food, drinks, tea towels, loo rolls. Hope that helps.

"Try to get higher up the hill and close to the facilities complex as you may get phone signal there."
