Excellent yet again, our 3rd visit to the terrace restaurant and the food was perfection again. Pierre was charming , and we will be back. The chocolate fondant was prepared and cooked par excellence.

We stayed here on our way down to Southampton before we sailed away to get married and also celebrated my 40th Birthday. The staff were polite and friendly and very helpful, our suite was spacious and very comfortable, I agree with other comments about the hotel been very warm, but we turned the radiators down and opened the windows and...

We stayed for one night. We had a fabulous evening dining experience at the Terrace. Possibly the most consistently delicious meal of my life (though I have only dined at a couple of other Michelin starred places!). Wonderful friendly service in the hotel. Charming & professional staff throughout, from the gentleman who greeted us on arrival, the maître d, all...

This hotel is fine for passing trade and viewing the landscape. The Terrace restaurant is overpriced with food to match. In spite of a Michelin Star the food is not balanced and makes it very ordinary for £70 per head. The hotel gardens are very quaint and the hotel itself is well laid out but the rooms are tiny and...

Party of eight older men - windswept after a rainy day - dropped in for a cup of tea. Very pleasant experience - welcoming staff - the Manager came over for a chat - excellent choice of leaf teas and home made biscuits and all in front of a log fire.

We stayed at the Montague Arms with our two sons, their wives and two grandchildren to celebrate my birthday. I was charmed to find a card from the hotel in our room, and a balloon! The hotel with its panelling and traditional furnishings is a delight to the eye, and there are so many nice extra touches; morning tea is...
