Lovely location but food was felt to be average and overpriced. I had the ploughmans which cost just over £10 for thin slithers of ham and cheese and some pickles straight from a jar. To make it worse 2 small halfs of bread were provided. When I asked for more bread they said no and that it'd cost an extra...

We stopped here the other day and found a great little watering hole nicely tucked away in the forest with friendly staff and good beer. The beer selection was excellent as was the atmosphere which is still pub like even though they obviously have to cater to the masses on busy days. The menu was also good with plenty of...

We live locally and decided to have a pub lunch on our forest walk. Limited menu, but understandable as this place gets mobbed in the summer. Cheese and tomato baguette - what could go wrong? No butter and the picture speaks for itself. Massive slices of cheddar and three slices of tomato - pretty rubbish really. Nice bitter shandy though.

A birthday drink stop in the forest, it is a great watering hole for walkers and cyclists. This is Easter Sunday and there is much on offer at High Corner. We have eaten here before and they have a good menu and good service, there is plenty of parking. The pub is not on a main road, so you need...

Stayed with friends in April this year the location is lovely with nice walks and wildlife. A large beer garden with plenty of seats, the food is great and good beer selection although there was no Guinness but the red wine was very good which made up for that. The rooms are a good size with nice bathrooms and tea/coffee/biscuits....

I would highly recommend this place. You feel a million miles away from civilisation! Fantastic, hearty food in front of a open fire with nothing but wild horses, deer and owls for company. Very friendly and helpful staff. Simply stunning.
