Situated near the high street of this beautiful village, Acorns is the perfect cosy home from home. Owners Mel and Fred were very accomodating, friendly and kind. Mel makes the most amazing scrambled eggs, and took time to chat about the beautiful surrounding Forest and its history and management. I would wholeheartedly recommend staying here - rooms with ensuite are... More

Lovely little B&B with everything you need in the room. Quiet cul- de- sac but a few steps from the high street. Breakfast was plentiful and the scrambled eggs especially good! We have visited the area many times and this visit was excellent, really enjoyed it and would recommend Acorns anytime.

Acorns is an excellent base for a visit to the New Forest. Mel and Fred are very welcoming and friendly and made you feel that their home was your home as we were were treated as friends rather than guests. Room was very large with all the usual facilities, the breakfast menu covered everything you could possibly want but the... More

Mel, Fred and the girls are so welcoming. Room clean, perfect and very functional. Breakfast delicious and the homemade Jam simply out of this world! A must visit for enjoying great local New Forest activities. Thoroughly recommended and will be returning again next year. Thanks X

The property is situated down a quiet cul-de-sac, but within easy reach of the local facilities. It is an ordinary house with 2 guest bedrooms. The bedroom was large with a large bathroom containing both a roll-top bath and a large walk-in shower, nicely decorated with a few personal touches.

Great location, close to the Centre of the village and the forest. I really enjoyed my staying in this house! It's quiet and clean. Mel and Fred were so kind and helpful to me and my sister. If I visit Lyndhurst again, I won't think of another house!

Me and my boyfriend had the pleasure of staying at Acorns of Lyndhurst this weekend! Mel and Fred were the most amazing hosts and such lovely people made us feel very at home. The rooms are lovely, clean and comfortable. It's in a quiet location but only a very short walk onto the high street. The breakfast is lovely, lots... More

Obviously I have read the previous rather negative review but I can assure future guests that the place is faultless. Mel is extremely welcoming and helpful. The 2 rooms (we booked both) were spotlessly clean. For a B&B they are very well equipped. The beds are very comfortable. There is a good choice for breakfast and Mel even supplied some... More

This b&b was very disappointing, especially in view of the glowing reviews posted on this site & were the basis on which we booked - our experience, unfortunately, was otherwise. BATHROOM - we found badly stained bath (looked dirty) but were informed was clean but needed re-enamelling as was original bath. Stained underside of toilet, no shaver point, classic mistake... I am very sorry to hear that your stay was disappointing as I always try my best to make every stay enjoyable but obviously this time it wasn't enough. I have taken your comments on board & dealt with some of them - thank you. With regards to the breakfast though; we are just a small family run B&B which... More

We found that all areas weren't very clean, The milk in the room was small one cup plastic tubs which were six weeks out of date , on our second morning we had to wait 20 minutes for the shower to work.
