We had a lovely one night stay at Old Thorn and thoroughly enjoyed the pool, saunas, steam room and hot tub followed by a delicious 3-course dinner. Staff were very friendly and helpful and we are already planning our next visit.

Headline deal seems good for dinner, bed and breakfast in a 4* hotel. Room was spacious and well appointed with a large comfortable bed. Small details let it down - no TV remote, no answer from reception (they can’t hear the phone from the office!) replacement remote doesn’t work, instant coffee sachets in room. A simple machine or even coffee bags would be welcome. Dinner is not a restaurant experience at all. It is function type catering. My starter was woeful, main and desert were OK. Wine/drinks massively overpriced. Breakfast was limited. Reasonable cooked offering, no fresh fruit and pastries weren’t the freshest. Dreadful coffee. Spa was pleasant although some of the facilities weren’t working and the pool was cold. Overall, a bit disappointing, all the basics are there and it could be a lot better for just a small investment in some key areas. Couldn’t recommend it as is and I wouldn’t return, there are far better alternatives.

Stayed for wife’s birthday. Rooms were clean abs spacious. Beds were great comfort to sleep in and clean. Food was a bit of a let down Calvert was bit bland. Bidfest food. It is what it is so accepted it are. The spa abs gym were great. One of the best hotel gyms I’ve been too. Spa was awesome only criticism couple of the spa facilities didn’t work. But that was ok. Great sis nether the less. Hotel decor was great like a movie backstage

What a superb hotel. Quiet location. The room was clean tidy, spacious and quite despite being next to the building entrance doors and hall. Different bars and a coffee shop all good. Food was excellent, both the 5 course dinner, and supberb breakfast. Dinner dance was good with a good cover band and a magician who was superb. Staff all professional and welcoming, great to get to display the covid passs as well before entry to the dinner dance. Only very slight problem was the scrabled egg at breakfast, a bit grainy and hard. Thoroughly recommend the hotel. Would love to come back for next NYE

Ideal location in Liphook, I went there for my birthday and I couldn't fault the room, and the food. We used the pool, steam room and jacuzzi - all up together. We have already booked for same time in January 2023.
