This was our second visit - previously dining here on 1 August 2013 when it still had a Michelin star - and the food and service was easily as good this time, if not better. Sadly we were the only people dining there on a Wednesday evening. Still, we took advantage of a mid-week deal to combine dinner with an...

My wife and I stayed for two nights and included the a la cartel menu and a special Argentinian evening dinner. Rooms are cosy and reasonably well appointed, with small on suite facilities. Fine for two nights, with continental breakfast of good quality ingredients. Food and service is high quality- excellent scallops, wagu beef and veal loin. Relaxed service matches...

We came here for a birthday celebration and opted for the all-in package of dinner for two and B&B. The room (Vanilla) was absolutely lovely: lots of space; soft bed; comfy chairs; proper wardrobe; huge corner bath and lots of elegant soap and shampoo thingies. The room has a beautiful view over the harbour and the hotel is two minutes'...

I agree with the other reviews of 36 On the Quay. We stayed here for 2 nights in the suite (Vanilla) overlooking the quashed and harbour. The room is a decent size but at this price not of suite proportions. There is a low beam in the middle of the room between the entrance/bathroom/toilet - it does have padding across...

We stayed a few a couple of nights and the room was disappointing despite being the biggest . Very dated . Lack of simple things like Mirrors, a strange bath and a huge low beam across the middle of the room . Breakfast was just continental and we kind of got the impression that bed and breakfast guests are a...

Food - Amazing. Innovative. Stunning presentation. Compliments to the chef! Great wines. And what a selection! Great location. Ideal for walks around the waters edge. Helpful and friendly staff. Cosy lovely rooms with great views.

Whilst the room offered oak beams, a queen sized bed and enough room space, the entrance to the bathroom was tiny as was the bathroom, sort of Alice in Wonderland style - tall people beware. There was all the usual amenities expected, but there was no full length mirror fully accessible, and none to use with the hairdryer. Whilst it's...

We've been here several times over the years, and were interested to see how it was shaping up after the new chef had taken over the kitchen - so we decided to try the 'tasting menu' to get a feel for it. There was nothing particularly bad about it, but nothing particularly stunning either, all the courses both looked a...
