Having stayed here a couple of years ago, I was happy to make a return visit and was not disappointed. Costing little more than a nearby motel it offer a better range of facilities. The accomodation was very suitable for my disabled partner, with immediate access from the car park, and my sister and husband were also happy with theirs....

my husband and i stayed whilst attending a family wedding close by. The staff were very pleasant and the breakfast was lovely. And actualy the sunday roast dinner was excellent. I have to point out how exceptionally kind the staff were when my husband was unexpectedly a little poorly and everyone did their best to help. Our room was clean...

What a strange ‘hotel’ this is. For every positive, there’s a couple of negatives. It left me with the impression that it lacks any kind of coherent management or the ability / desire to meet modern traveller expectations. First of all, it calls itself ‘a Citylodge hotel’ on booking websites and internet searches etc, but then I read somewhere that...

The staff here are really welcoming and helpful. We arrived with family who had just landed off an early morning flight from Australia. Our rooms were made ready by 10.30am even though the hotel was full the previous evening. The breakfasts are good and we ended up staying an extra night as we were so satisfied by the way we...

My auntie reserved a number of rooms at this hotel so that our family and friends could all stay at the same place for my cousin's wedding. She also had reserved enough rooms so that he, the groom, could stay with us all. When some of our party tried to confirm these reserved rooms we were told they no longer...

After reading some of the more recent reviews I must admit that my wife and I were filled with more than a little trepidation and apprehension as we entered the hotel reception area. However after a speedy and informative check in with the very pleasant young man on reception we found ourselves in a spacious room on the ground floor...

Stayed in a twin room which was located within the chalet style building. First impressions were it was very small with unnecessarily big bathroom. It was boiling hot with no ventilation and it smelt musky, carpets were marked and dirty and bathroom was quite shabby. Windows had mould as terrible condensation by the next morning. It was intended to be...

I was a bit apprehensive before we arrived, after reading some of the reviews. The main thing that stood out to me was people saying the walls are paper thin. This fills me with dread when we stay in a hotel, as we used to have a noisy neighbour at home! When we got to our room we did hear...

The Angel Hotel is an excellent base to explore the surrounding area. The staff are very welcoming and pleasant. It is a real home from home. The bar and restaurant serve drinks and quality dishes at a reasonable price. The breakfast is very good and the produce is excellent quality and is presented to a high standard.
