On arrival there was plenty of parking. The reception was clean and tidy and gave a good impression. I received a warm welcome from the receptionist who was very helpful. My room was clean and tidy with all the facilities you would expect, The breakfast was good and I enjoyed my stay there.
Staying with family for father's funeral nearby. Premier Inn is what it is, cheap, comfortable and great location. However JENNY the housekeeper went above and beyond to help us out and make things easier for us. A lovely lady who always seemed to be on hand - Thank You Jenny & if Premier Inn are reading this, she deserves a pay rise - great service & I will be back because it's the little acts of kindness that count.
Stayed for one night at this hotel for a family reunion. Donna was amazing Really friendly and helpful Room was spotless and extra coffee available at reception. I'm only rating the hotel as the food in restaurant was really disappointing.... Overcooked and staff over stretched and lack of training . Thanks to Donna who made our stay
We checked in and immediately complained about the room stinking of smoke. The hotel was fully booked so they could not move us to another room. The man at reception sprayed air freshener but they room still stank. We had to sleep with the fan on full and the windows open and still spend all night coughing (and we are still coughing the next day). The reception staff moved us to another room for the second night which was much better but very hot. Upon complaining to the customer service line, I was told that they would give me a £50 refund as a goodwill gesture as it did not fall under their good night sleep promise. Even after escalating to a manager the resolution did not change. To stay in such an awful room I am still £60 out of pocket. Myself, my husband and two children feel unwell and have a lingering cough and paid for the experience. Up until now, we have always stayed with premier inn but will not take the risk in the future.…
Great quiet and clean rooms. Easy access and modern well appointed rooms. Comfy beds! Very welcoming and friendly staff. One unusually warm day in April, during the five days we were there, had our room temp a couple of degrees above our comfort zone. Staff immediately resolved by supplying a fan. Rooms do not control cooling, heating only. A fair, workable solution in a great value, great place to rest our heads as we ventured out during the day.
Ok so not in the most scenic place but clean and the staff are very helpful. I didn't realise on booking that there isn't a lift here but even though they were very busy they transferred us to a downstairs accessible room. So great customer service. Some noisy guests but that's the luck of the draw. Would return
The hotel is basic (there are no lifts) but clean; it could do with a makeover. I didn’t get a good nights sleep as the hotel backs onto a Tesco and was kept awake with their deliveries throughout the night; moreover other residents took up smoking under my bedroom window. I didn’t have breakfast so cannot comment. Overall, it was OK for a night but I’d ask for a room at the front of the hotel.
The hotel is set in a very accessible location and has ample parking. There’s a Tesco store at the end of the car park which can be very useful. This particular hotel is split into two blocks and the smaller of the two is called the annex. The main block has been refurbished but at the time of writing this review the annex has not. The room we stayed in was in the annex and was slightly tired although clean and comfortable. On arrival the female member of staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. As already stated, the room was clean and tidy, the shower was good with plenty of water pressure. The bed was comfortable and the room temperature was just right. We paid an extra ten pounds for the buffet style breakfast which was more than adequate. My only issue is that the pastries ran out and staff refused to provide anymore, this is very disappointing because it occurred at 09:45 despite the service allegedly being available until 11:00hrs on a Saturday. Overall the hotel was acceptable and the staff were helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this hotel again in the future.…
The room was clean, dark, quiet and comfortable and we had a good night’s sleep. Parking was easy and so was check in. We had breakfast the next morning at the Brewers Fayre and and it very tasty and good value for money. Very happy with our stay.
The room was basic as expected but looked tired and needs updating. The carpet was threadbare in places and the bathroom is dated but clean. Overall it was good value for money but I just felt the room could do with a little bit of a refurb.
