Do not book a standard twin room and do not expect high standards of food, cleanliness or any extras like biscuits in your room. The menu's are limited and the bar is very loud. For what you pay the product supplied is poor. The staff however are friendly and helpful and the leisure centre has a decent sized swimming pool.

Great grub, fabulous staff and ample parking. Hyde station a two minute walk, very convenient for Manchester town. Take padlock because the lockers at the gym don't have them. Would eat at the restaurant again if was in the area.

This venue is not suitable for a prestigious event due to smoking area and poor levels of hygiene. The road was closed upon arrival and to gain access my guests had to drive through an area undergoing re development which did not create the right impression.

Stayed for an evening for one of the events and had a wonderful time. Drinks are very expensive though. The rooms are lovely and spacious. We returned a week later to try out the Sunday carvery and I give it 5*!! 10/10 for the quality of the food. 100% will be returning =)

The bedroom was not as clean as it should have been and our room suffered from noisy central heating system or something similar. The Pub experience was spoiled by music played at volumes more usually found in night club with ubiquitous huge silent TV screens. A healthy breakfast was not an option. However, the restaurant meals were good and staff...

Room was clean and comfortable but could do with modernising. Never got chance to make use of the facilities although the huge pool looked good. A little disappointed with attitude of staff at breakfast as admittedly we turned up late but they never made an effort to accommodate us despite breakfast being pre-paid.

Me and my wife are registered disabled. On arriving the ipads would not let us book in because we had booked to rooms. Had to wait 10-15 for staff to book us in and was told there was no rooms next to each other. I said we had requested rooms next to each other before we arrived. But there was...

Disappointed with the underhand techniques used by this hotel chain with the gym membership. Cancellation must be in writing - wasn't made aware of this at sign up, all they want is the signatures on the registration form, totally missold, didn't use facilities for a good 6 months before cancelling

I've stayed in Village Hotel branded hotels on a number of occasions, and this one doesn't live up to the standard I'd expect. When I arrived the front of house staff were talking to another guest checking in. They were having problems with their booking, but the staff were taking a "it's not our fault" attitude to the situation. I...

Poor service throughout. Staff seem to be more bothered about standing chatting to each other than serving the clients coming into the hotel. Restaurant staff very blunt and don't tent to you unless they are called upon.
