Having been to the restaurant before I was keen to revisit for a special occasion, sadly the visit was nothing like our previous experience. The food was ok - the main course good, but service was appalling. I just feel the whole experience was nothing like what you would expect from a restaurant selling itself as fine dining and charging...

Dear Hannah K I believe that in these circumstances honesty is the best policy. To address your points in turn: - The food sent back was a portion of chips which you described as being “hard”. We tried them and they were perfect. We did not charge for them but sent a complimentary portion of fondant potato instead. - I’ve...

Stayed for one night for a wedding at Clearwell Castle and we were extremely pleasantly surprised with the quality of everything here. Despite booking the bottom of the range room, everything was top quality -absolutely loved the rainfall shower! Breakfast was very nice and a wide range of options, all locally sourced it seemed. The local sourcing was not just...

My partner and I have just returned from a weekend away at this beautiful place booked through a deal on secret escapes. Fantastic value for money! We could not fault it, the staff, service and hotel were excellent. The hotel was beautifully decorated with a modern rustic charm and kept spotless. We stayed in a cockerel room - room 2,...

Stayed here for two nights for a friends wedding, which was at Clearwell Castle. The greeting was wonderful from the second we walked into reception. Every member of staff we spoke to was so very friendly and accommodating. We were shown to our room, which was beautiful. Clean, warm, and they thought of everything. There was even a mini container...

We have just spent two nights in this hotel which was absolutely first class. We were up graded to the Cottage which is a duplex apartment adjacent to the hotel. It was nearly perfect but sadly let down by the poor shower (which we were advised of) and some light bulbs which were out (but replaced). Otherwise, the free water,...

My wife who has an artificial leg found it very difficult to walk between the hotel and the allocated room. The surface is a mixture of chippings and uneven stone paving, not very good for a disabled person to walk on It would be difficult also to use a wheelchair. The dinner, though well cooked was of small quantity and...

Even though it is cold outside, we were given a warm welcome by the receptionist. Each of the rooms are unique and are very comfortable. Ours had a full size stand alone four legged bath and separate double sized shower. Bliss. The Restaurant and lounge area are warm and cosy. With the ingredients locally sourced and mostly organic. I started...

Tudor Farmhouse Hotel is relaxed and yet sophisticated all at the same time. I felt welcome but not pestered. The room was uncluttered elegance with everything in the right place e.g. a hook where you needed it / fresh milk for tea. The room was warm and comfortable and the settling quiet and relaxing.
