Probably one of the worst "hotels" I have ever stayed in..3 nights offered or had three rooms. 1st not ready or still occupied, 2nd toilet would not flush, 3rd no heating... gave up trying to get another and just made do. No evening meals offered or seen. Only tried breakfast on the 1st morning, didn't bother for the other two....

No heating, breakfast very hit and miss. Staff not at all helpful at breakfast. No heating in room. Dinner on second night was in the very cold bar and food not very inviting. The only good side were the grounds with its minageryof animals.

this is a place where you feel the need to wipe your feet on the way out. The building needs tlc! I came for a few drinks while staying at the Travelodge across the road and I was shocked at the state of the place.

Quite a wakey place, in need of a bit of TLC, bed comfortable, breakfast good, heating a bit high, surroundings a bit odd. Staff in the main were good, great if you have kids and they like duck, alpacas, lamas etc.

Odd atmosphere with no ambiance. Starter of prawn wonton (4) with sweet chilli sauce sounded good but never had it hidden by huge salad and large dollop of chutney, covered in salad dressing! other starter of soup was so salty!! Basic carvery, lucky wobbling table the chef carved on didn't topple over. Boiled veg (cabbage, broccoli, and carrots) in warmers...

Stayed at this hotel last Saturday to attend a party in one to the function rooms. After many years of passing this gorgeous looking hotel I was so disappointed when entering our room. There was a king-size mattress on a 4ft 6ins Base, the bathroom had a bright turquoise bath and basin with a white toilet so obviously the toilet...

We attended the wedding of one of our grandsons and his parents booked us all in for the night at the hotel. They made the booking in March 2016 for the night of new years eve 2016. The booking was made for 5 rooms round the patio but on arrival we found only one had been saved for us. My...

Clearly a budget hotel. A New Year package with my line dance club which was very enjoyable. Apparently hotel under new ownership. It is badly in need of updating and refurbishment. The radiator in my room not working on arrival, this was very quickly put right and warmed the room like a sauna. Unfortunately, the thermostat did not respond to...

My wife and I had Christmas lunch here with two friends. Lack of suitable decoration and atmosphere in dining room. First course had no sauce so we had to ask for some. Third desert course likewise dry without sauce. The meal was satisfactory for £50 price tag but nothing special. It reminded us of a nursing home with wheelchairs and...
