The frontage of this hotel does not do it justice in my opinion, because it looks a little like a traditional pub. Inside the restaurant is well designed, decor is & contemporary & it is comfortable. The garden is lovely. Again, very well designed with choices of seating alongside a newly planted herb garden. Comfy wicker armchairs, iron tables &...

Me and my wife stopped to have a pint of beer. A 50cl bottle of persecco and 2 bags of crisps that cost £15.40. Now I might be wrong but. WHAT A RIP OFF. I'm not a tourist so I didn't expect tourist prices. Just hope I didn't have to pay for the dogs bowl of water. Should have realised...

Wonderful hotel. Excellent staff - very friendly and helpful. Stayed for 2 nights. Our room was at the front of the hotel overlooking the high street - but there was practically no noise because of the double glazing. Would definitely stay here again.

I have previously visited this hotel and its restaurant and given rave reviews. So, it's a pity that my most recent stay was not as great as the Ines before. Firstly, the food was,as always excellent although the front of house staff seemed a bit harassed and disjointed in comparison to my usual experience. The room itself was lovely in...

Visited the bar today in hope of a bite to eat, on arrival it seems a nice bar, another table was eating so we thought all good. Upon ordering drinks we asked for food menus, to be told they were no longer taking food orders for 'walk ins', strange in a bar, however we had already ordered drinks, so felt...

Can thoroughly recommended The Abbey Hotel restaurant. My husband and I were visiting family and had a lovely afternoon meal here. The menu was varied with a selection of appealing dishes that were difficult to choose between. We started with sharing a dish of nachos which were delicious, then I had the chicken and ham pie for main. The meal...

Stayed overnight and ate in the restaurant. Lovely newly refurbished room with an amazing view of the abbey. Very convenient location in the centre of this pretty and historic small town. Car parking was a short walk away. My room was a sensible and a comfortable size with a practical en suite. Immaculately clean. Tasteful decor and a comfy bed....

Wonderful location, but the size of the room was very small, we asked extra bed before we book, but was not prepared and it was hardly fit in the room. And they charged extra while they did not say anything over the phone. We heard TV sound from neighbors. This hotel is not a boutique hotel, normal B&B little bit...

Lovely boutique hotel that we could see has just been refurbished. Crisp white cotton bedding, comfy bed, large flat screen tv and a generous sized bathroom. Room 5 has a bath with a shower and is super quiet, as at the back, so no traffic noise. The bathroom is decorated really well with lovely grey subway tiles and was spotless,...

We have just spent 2 nights here and had a wonderful stay. Very friendly welcome from Charlie and a well appointed comfortable bedroom with a lovely en-suite. Dinner each night was well presented and Lauren looked after us superbly. The restaurant was busy on the Saturday evening but the service from Charlie,Lauren and their team was faultless. Breakfast was equally...
